Here we go, post nominations time everyone!!! Let me start of saying that this has been a fun experience for me helping out with this poll. This was actually the first Oscar season I've actually helped in any real way and I've had a blast doing it. Thanks for everyone for participating in the various polls over the last few months and I hope your favorites do well here going forward and on Oscar Night!!!

EEAAO for now, but the awards seasons have been so crazy these past years that I'm not putting my money on it at all.

I can't switch out from EEAAO on the day when its 2 "rivals" (are they though?) All Quiet and Maverick got squat in Director and acting.......also on a day where this got more nods than fingers......what's the problem again?

Hey, why not at this point!! At least Top Gun has a decent chance!! It will be very difficult without an acting nod, on top of missing Director. Parasite did win SAG ensemble.

ngl, i’ve been the sole vote for unbearable weight for the last few polls and i’m deeply saddened i can’t vote for it this time around (even though i haven’t watched it)…
i’m now switching my vote to women talking

That's because you're a wise and reasonable young gentleman who can see that Banshees also got 4 acting nominations and a Best Director nod too ........and also isn't a remake or a sequel........ 100% in agreement .......

Everything Everywhere has everything going for it right now, but I wonder if there might be backlash coming in the final run-up and something like Banshees (which I feel would be stronger on the preferential ballot and likely has screenplay and at least one acting win) could pip it to the post.
I'm gonna stick to my guns and call it for McDonagh, but I think The Daniels are taking Best Director in a split.

Let me activate my algorithm, which has only been wrong twice since 1989:
Q1- Did the film get nominated for PGA, DGA and SAG Ensemble award? (1 point) Banshees, Everything, The Fablemans
Q2 - Did the film get nominated for writing, directing, and editing nominations? (1 point) Banshees, Everything, Tar
Q3 - Did the film get any acting nominations? (1 point) Banshees, Elvis, Everything, The Fabelmans, Tar
Q4 - Did the film win the PGA, DGA, and SAG Ensemble? (1 point) N/A
Q5 - Did the film the PGA, DGA, or WGA award? (2 points) N/A
Q6 - Did the film win at least two major Guild awards? (2 points) N/A
T#1 - Did the film win the PGA, DGA or SAG Ensemble award? N/A T#2 - Which film scored the most major Oscar nominations? Banshees and Everything
T#3 - Which film won the most major critics circle awards? Everything won Critics Choice and LA. Banshees didn't win any of those, even if you included the Globes.
My present power rankings: 1. Everything Everywhere All At Once 2. The Banshees of Inisherin 3. The Fabelmans / TAR 5. Elvis 1995 and 1997 were the wrong years for the record. It spit out Apollo 13 and L.A Confidential.

Q1 - Did the movie make you feel the need for speed? (1 point) TGM
Q2 - Did the movie feature a shirtless sports bonding montage? (5 points) TGM
Q3 - Did the movie have badass flight sequenced filmed by cameras in fighter jets? (2 points) TGM
Q4 - Did the movie have a very emotional Val Kilmer cameo? (1 point) TGM
Q5 - Did the climax of the movie blatantly rip off Star Wars but it didn’t really matter? (1 point) TGM
Power rankings: 1. TGM 2. TGM 3. TGM 4. TGM 5. TGM

CODA taught me to throw the rulebook out. I'm calling Tar now. Who doesn't like Tar? It got everything it needed and then some.

Realistically, it is going to come down to either Banshees, Everything, The Fabelmans, Tar, or Top Gun
