So Michelle Yeoh is the first Asian best actress winner. What else do we have? There must be quite a few.

The Best Actor winner being in a Best Picture nominee was broken after 13 years I believe.
BAFTA didn’t match up with any above the line wins which hadn’t happened since 1997.
Read earlier today that the Best Picture winner either wins Best Song or Score when nominated for either one, and EEAAO lost both. I think that’s just a weird stat though that doesn’t mean anything.

Women Talking is the second film to win Adapted Screenplay with only 1 other Oscar nomination (the first was Sling Blade in 1996).

Ok, so is this the first time since… I can’t really think of when, that the acting categories have all went to those playing fictional characters.

Hmm no, just this century Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, Chicago, Crash, The Hurt Locker, The King's Speech, and Argo were all nominated in music categories and lost. Oh but they weren't nominated for both score and song at the same time, I guess. I might have misread if the stat is that the BP winner goes at least 1/2 when nominated for both and EEAAO is the first to go 0/2. That's probably true, I think.

I believe Ruth E. Carter is the first black woman to have won two Oscars.

All Quiet on the Western Front won the same Oscars as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. It also won most awards (4) in a single night for a foreign language film - tying the record of CTHD, Parasite, and Fanny and Alexander.

I believe Ruth E. Carter is the first black woman to have won two Oscars. I think it's also the first time that a sequel won Best Costume Design after the first movie winning one too. Not that impressive as trivia but still.

- All Quiet on the Western Front becomes the streaming film with the most wins (4), beating Roma and CODA.
- The Daniels are the third directing duo to win BD, after Wise/Robbins and the Coens.

He's at 22, broke Kevin O'Connell's record last time with Rise of Skywalker but I don't know if there's another previous winner who then lost that many times in a row. Meryl's losing streak was 12. She also went 29 years between wins and this would have been 29 for Williams, but I don't know if she's the record to beat there (Just checked this and it's Helen Hayes of course.)

Here's my contributions:
1. Everything Everywhere All At Once is the second fantasy film to win Best Picture 2. First-time we had two different winners for Editing and Sound since Argo. In fact, the Editing winner wasn't up for Sound. 3. First-time all of the major Guilds lined-up with each other. 4. Brendan Fraser is the fourth actor to win Best Actor without a Best Picture nomination this century. First since Jeff Bridges in 2010. 5. Third time in Oscar history where the Best Director winner went to two people. 6. Everything Everywhere All At Once became the third film to win at least three acting Oscars. 7. The Daniels became the 10th and 11th person to win at least three Oscars in one night. 8. First-time since Chicago, a comedy/musical won for Best Film Editing.

The Daniels become the 6th and 8th youngest directors to win Best Director. The 7th is Lewis Milestone for the original All Quiet on the Western Front.

As the second non-white actress to win the Best Actress award after Halle Berry, Michelle Yeoh is also the second Best Actress winner who was an EON-Bond Girl... also after Halle Berry.

Denise Richards and Izabella Scorupco to follow. I'm definitely not interested in your cavalier disregard of Teri Hatcher. No supporting characters allowed. Though she was the real star of that movie.

Hey, I got a fun fact - Daniel Kwan was dressed as Steven Yeun's character in Nope, only without the guts to wear the hat.
