What did you major in? And the real reason I’m making this thread… Do you think it was worth it?
I went to the University of Montana and got a Marketing degree. I’m a real estate salesman now so technically it fits into my like of work but I don’t really believe much of my success has come from things I learned at school and it’s likely I wouldn’t have needed my degree to get to where I am. Learned more at various sales jobs over the years.

Studied law at the University of American Samoa. Totally worth it until that bald fucker with the glasses came along and ruined everything.

Neither the bachelor’s or master’s degree was worth it

I have a master's degree in Industrial Technologies Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. It was worth it for my jobs, even if I stopped working at 37 to take care of my children.

Studied architecture in the UK for four semesters before I went back to Mexico City, I finish my degree at Centro de Diseño y Comunicación (when still was cool) but basically I had to start all over again. I still bitterly resent how consuming it was to finish college but definitely was worthy (friends a major reason why) although I tend to agree with people who says that a degree only gives you the essential tools, practice does the heavy lifting definitely and to finish the point of the second question not sure if it was necessary, I work with people who don't even have a degree and have incredible skills even though I don't think I'd be able to do it that way.

Oh honeys, Sarah Lawrence, Stanford and then Yale...
I would have been to all those places if I'd been Sigourney Weaver.

Majored in Finance at UConn. Got my MBA right next to where I live at Salve Regina University. Planning to get my MS in Math at Johns Hopkins. Thankfully my employer (Uncle Sam) will likely be paying for that.

Australian College of Applied Psychology. Master of Social Science. Worth it? Monetarily? Of course not. Educationally? I would have been better off staying an autodidact. Were they the best years of my life? You betcha.

Nazareth College of Rochester - Majored in Accounting and Business Administration. Sigma Beta Delta member. I am also a certified notary. Not sure if that counts as "education" though.

Took community college courses in high school to get a 2-year head start on gen ed requirements. Undergrad was University of Maryland, College Park - Psychology. Grad school was Loyola University Maryland - Clinical Psychology.
Degrees were necessary for licensing and working as a therapist, but I think college in general is way too expensive. Too many administrators, too many amenities constantly being built, not enough state/federal funding.

took a different avenue in the workforce than a lot of my classmates, but am happy where it helped land me

Oh honey, maybe there's a stigma to being a Sigma Beta Delta member? My nutritionalist says that too much Beta-carotene will make you go orange...

Oh honey, maybe there's a stigma to being a Sigma Beta Delta member? My nutritionalist says that too much Beta-carotene will make you go orange... On a side note, it's true. My husband's father eats a lot of vegetables and fruits. Few years ago he took the habit to eat about one kilo carrots per day, and after a couple of months he became orange, at the point that his doctor thought he had liver issues.
