I just found out Mary Tsoni died recently. If you happen to remember, she starred in Yorgos Lanthimos's Dogtooth playing the youngest daughter of a factory owner who has raised his children to adulthood with no knowledge of the outside of the world.
Apparently, she committed suicide.
May she RIP
BTW, what is it that you like about Dogtooth and most importantly did her performance strike a chord in you?

This is sad to hear , RIP. I thought she gave an effective performance like the rest of the cast in Dogtooth.

Apparently she was battling with depression of something, a very sad situation. RIP.
On what I think of the film, I can't say I love it, it's more on how much I appreciate it for being different and original, Lathimos films are the rare unicorns one tries to spot in the forest. I wonder what Haneke was thinking while watching the film, if he ever did, maybe something along the lines of "man, I'd have love to directed it". I certainly get on board with its message ( protective parents can be dangerous ). And as for performances, I'll always remember Tsoni screaming while cutting her fingernails. The actors get the rythm right but for me it's all about the direction.
