I grew up a little bit on Cheers, but more on Wrath of Khan and Look Who's Talking. This is a sad day. RIP Legend.

Even though she went off the deep end the last few years, as an actress she had terrific comic timing. Rebecca always was and will forever be better than Diane, and Kirstie Alley really added such a fantastic dynamic to Cheers. I'm sad we'll never get a horror movie starring Kirstie Alley and Meg Foster as sisters separated at birth.

I'm sad we'll never get a horror movie starring Kirstie Alley and Meg Foster as sisters separated at birth. When I was younger, I’d sometimes get them confused, if it wasn’t a comedy. Also agree about the Rebecca years. I always thought it was because I watched more seasons with Rebecca first, but then seeing Shelley Long in Troop Beverly Hills and a few others around the same quality and not really seeing any chemistry between Sam and Diane, I just never got it. Diane had some good moments, but I loved the chaotic energy that Rebecca brought. Plus I always thought the love of Sam’s life was the bar and his friends, so it was nice to see that more during the Rebecca seasons. Also maybe more sacrilegious Cheers thoughts, but Woody > Coach. Coach had some funny moments, but Woody’s subplots were always comedy gold to me. Anyhow agree about Alley. She was in so many things of my youth and always a hoot to watch. Followed her on Twitter awhile back, but sadly she proved that it’s probably never a good idea for celebrities to be on social media.

The early seasons of Cheers were great, but I always felt it was in spite of Danson and Long's chemistry. And while I loved Coach, Woody was markedly better indeed. The introduction of Lilith is also what I think really galvanized the show to greatness.

Wonderful and trully beautiful actress. Despite I never pay attention to North and South, wow she was oustanding as a southern belle.-

I guess I'll be the one to do it. You got her name wrong in the title.
EDIT: Lol, this was my 10,000th post.
