Predictions for the final ????? France 4-3 like 2018 but maybe this one goes to extra time If Martinez doesn’t come up with that save at the end I would’ve fucking nailed it smh

So Messi's the GOAT, what else is new? Happy to see Argentina win, because France is just such a boring team to watch. Deschamps should be out of the door and they should hire a coach that can make them play some decent football. Even though he has won a World Cup I almost feel he has underperformed with this team over his tenure. He definitely deserves some credit, because we've seen so many golden generations just in the past 20 years (England, Belgium, France's previous one, Argentine 10/15 years ago) who never really got close to living up to expectations, and this guy has gone to back to back World Cup Finals and a Euros one, but being 1-2 in big finals is definitely nothing to crow about (losing that Euro 16 final was way worse than this), and you could say what he has achieved should probably be bare minimum I do think this run this year has been pretty impressive given the number of key guys they were missing though. You put Benzema, Pogba, Kante in that team and the result is likely very different. Anyway, word on the street is Zidane might be up next, and that'd be something to see. That guy is born to coach Cup football.

That guy is born to coach Cup football. I know it’s never gonna happen but for the past couple weeks I’ve been dreaming of the prospect of getting Zidane to coach the USMNT. Would be super bold for US Soccer to try to pull this off. Why not shoot our shot? However I think we would’ve had a better shot (ha) at Zidane if France won today. Deschamps walks away with back to back titles as a coach and idk if Zidane would want to take on the pressure of being the guy to lead a team to being the first one to win 3 consecutive titles. Highly, highly improbable this ever gets achieved. But leading an exciting US golden generation on home soil? That should be one of the most highly sought after jobs in the international game if Berhalter leaves. There’s a reason Zidane hasn’t gone back to coaching since that last champions league title he won with Real Madrid. He has to top himself and if he doesn’t think he can achieve his sky high expectations, he’s not gonna try. Zidane is much more likely to take the France job now that he doesn’t have to worry about the pressure of delivering an improbable, unprecedented 3rd straight World Cup title Unfortunately we may have to end up settling for Roberto Martinez. While, yes, an upgrade over Berhalter, he still wasted that Belgium golden generation and would probably only get this US team to a quarterfinal exit in ‘26

It just hit me, while observing Tom Cruise’s latest shenanigans, that every year a Top Gun movie has been released, Argentina won the World Cup

The Dios Patria y Familia football players don't want to share hands with the corrupt Argentinian Goverment. Just for that, they deserved to win the WorldCup.-
