Great work Jango! Sexy picks too. Julie Christie, Ziyi Zhang, Penelope x2, Tilda's Julia, Viggo, Hal, KIM HYE JA!!
Notes on a Scandal is a really weird Blanchett perf to highlight though... That's one time she was really close to bad imo...

Pretty good list, albeit a bit predictable (naturally, with a few exceptions). Great presentation JangoB! Really enjoyed this poll. Anyway, only 3 performances made it on the top 100 from my list, which is... better than I expected . Here's my list for anyone interested: 1. Matthew Modine - Mary (2005) 2. Jun Ji-hyun - Windstruck (2004) 3. Rachel Weisz - Agora (2009) 4. Tadanobu Asano - Ichi The Killer (2001) 5. Choi Min-sik - Failan (2001) 6. Charlotte Gainsbourg - Antichrist (2009) 7. Jean-Claude Van Damme - JCVD (2008) 8. Yu Aoi - Hana & Alice (2004) 9. Ralph Fiennes - Spider (2002) 10. Javier Bardem - Mondays In The Sun (2002) 11. Emilie Dequenne - Oui, Mais... (2001) 12. Andy Lau - Protege (2007) 13. Tony Leung Ka-fai - Election (2005) 14. Barry Pepper - The Three Burials Of Melquiades Estrada (2005) 15. Sara Forestier - Games Of Love And Chance (2003) 16. Hikari Mitsushima - Love Exposure (2008) 17. Forest Whitaker - The Last King Of Scotland (2006) 18. Keira Knightley - Domino (2005) 19. Willem Dafoe - Antichrist (2009) 20. Yu Aoi - Hula Girls (2005) 21. Jiang Wen - Devils On The Doorstep (2000) 22. Anna Tsuchiya - Kamikaze Girls (2004) 23. Forest Whitaker - Mary (2005) 24. Adel Emam - The Yacoubian Building (2005) 25. Nicole Kidman - Dogville (2003) A lot of great performances in the 2000s, that's for sure!

It was 3 in the morning here and I stayed up till 3 in time to see the 10 who didn't make it, but couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.
On to the list:
I can't believe only two other people voted for Phoenix in Gladiator.
And I am so friggin' dumb. How the hell did I miss DDL in Gangs of New York and Watts for Mulholland Dr? They obviously didn't need my help, but I can't believe I forgot to include them on my list.

Thank you for doing this Jango, and for the great work! Even though I couldn't stay til the end because it was getting a bit late (7 pm EDT equals midnight where I live), I enjoyed what I saw, and I was anxious to see how it would turn out. Apart from two performances I can't say I'm a fan of (Bardem in NCFOM, Day-Lewis in GONY) and one that I've never heard of (Damian Lewis, Keane), I'm pleased with the results and I think the list is pretty solid! A bit shocked that Streep missed for Adaptation though, especially considering that Cage made it (and so high)... I thought hers was a unanimous best-of-the-decade performance around here. Dern making it into the top 25 has to be the true highlight for me, and makes me feel that I might actually be in the right place

Apart from two performances I can't say I'm a fan of (Bardem in NCFOM, Day-Lewis in GONY) and one that I've never heard of ( Damian Lewis, Keane). It was very high on my list - there's a scene in that movie where Lewis refuses to turn the radio down that is one of the most vivid scenes of how someone with his condition really would act - it's almost painful to watch...........I think it's a better performance even than Peter Greene's in Clean, Shaven (same director)..........it's great work. Would love to hear your thoughts on it........

I'm surprise that Huppert is number 4 and Giradort who was much better, wasn't on the list. the same of PSH and not KK. Or CZJ instead of anyof the Chicago cast. She was pretty bland on it.- Also Cruz in 2 films. She doesn't belong to this list.-

Well folks, this is it Before I sign off for tonight, I'd like to give a VERY special mention to the actor whose performances received the most individual notices (even if not all of them made it in the Top 100). With 6 different performances mentioned by our voters, the champion is... NICOLE KIDMAN Great presentation JangoB . We'll done and congratulations 🎊
And very fitting that Kidman had the most performances mentioned. She owned the 2000's, and has been just as impressive in adding to her body of work in the last decade. My female GOAT.

Phenomenal job Jango!
I think Bardem, with 3 perfs in the 100, was the only one with more than 2 that made it - hats off. Shoutout to DDL, PSH, Cage, Ledger - the actors with 2 perfs in the Top 50.
Watts in Mulholland Dr is great---but I prefer her in Ellie Parker, I guess I was its only voter. So many great picks overall though...... only two I haven't seen: the Bjork and Inland Empire.

Unless I'm mistaken, Bardem is the dude equivalent of Kidman in the overall vote - 4 performances of his received mentions which I can't say about any other male actor. And 3 of them managed to get in the 100 which is indeed highly impressive.

Are you going to go onto the 90s next? I'll start getting ready. I actually wanted to do the 90s in the first place but then thought it'd be weird to just skip the 2000s considering that the 2010s have been done. But no, I've scratched my poll-hosting itch for now. Will be glad to pass the baton to anyone who's willing to host and will happily deliver my own list on time

Greaaaaaat Job Mr JangoB. Overall it's an excellent list, of course the more we climb to the top, the more it becomes predictable with all these iconic villains that beautifully defined the decade but it's a nicely varied list and good to see some performances that I haven't heard or thought about since a long time like Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake) or Gillian Anderson (The House of Mirth). Most surprising placement is Kim Hye-ja (Mother), daebak !!! Good to see her doing so well, she was in my extented list but as far as Korean actresses goes I went with Jung-ah Yum (A Tale of Two Sisters) as I thought some others would vote for her and also to respect the categories's equity. I completely forgot to vote for Maximus and I expected Gosling (Half Nelson) to pop up somewhere in a top 100 list and thinking about it now..., the oscar winner that year is kind of undeniable as Idi Amin. And I definitely need to rewatch Mulholland Drive.

I've just added it to my watchlist. The film's storyline got me very intrigued, and the cast has some familiar names I like a lot. I'll be seeing it in a near future. I'll tag you when I write about it here.

Glad JGL made it for Mysterious Skin. Clooney was was too low for O Brother, Where Art Thou? And I placed Kim Hye-ja at #12, so that's nice.
