Right now I'm going with The Fabelmans. Feels like there's a strong case for it to win best picture, and give Spielberg's third win as a director.

I'm sticking with Tar. Every once in a while, a truly weird, not for everyone pick winds up getting in there. And since I was the first to go for it, I'm gonna stick by my guns now that the stupid tweety reactions that overpraise everything are out, and overpraising the movie.

Sticking with Babylon
Also, I know it got votes last poll, but KOTFM shouldn't be here.

If it means Eric Roberts winning a SAG Ensemble and getting up on the stage on the big night, Babylon it is! But really..... if it's pulled off, it's sure to dazzle, shock, and potentially overwhelm the other contenders. The Fabelmans its biggest, softer opponent.
And regarding Flower Moon....... I think Apple is tapping their feet up to the finish line to see what'll be ready: the Scorsese or Napoleon (a month or two ago Paul Rhys (in the cast) suggested it'll be out December). They dated the Jennifer Lawrence movie Nov 4..... with nothing after it? There's an opening and it's too soon for them to send out Emancipation.

Somehow at this very second I'm feeling that it's gonna be The Son but actually I don't have a goddamn clue.

Eric Roberts being a part of a SAG ensemble would be pretty cool, but the race is so wide open this year I can't tell you who I think will take it. But then again, it just makes it more fun all the same!!!!

Somehow at this very second I'm feeling that it's gonna be The Son but actually I don't have a goddamn clue. The Father came pretty close a few years ago, so I guess they like Zeller's style. It will be fun to see what this movie’s ceiling actually is.

I really don't think Babylon is winning if the leaks/rumours turn out to be true.
Sticking with EEAAO or Top Gun 2, with Women Talking as a third possible pick.

We don't actually know anything about the quality of the film.

Yeah, I’ve heard bits and pieces of what the script is like but nothing really specific, so a lot of this is still new to me!!

OK, with the amount of 'timely' mentions around it and the obvious raves it's gonna get from everyone I'm switching to Women Talking

Killers of the Flower Moon is going to win two years in a row. Could be!!! A dynasty in the making!! I know I'm bringing up an old talking point here, but I'm still rooting for a Cry Macho surge for this year though. It's bound to win eventually. Believe me.

Cry Macho could always win next year and stop it from repeating. I just think it's so hard to compete with a movie that hasn't been released, it can't possibly get worse reviews than anything that does get released.
