Colin Firth – The Staircase as Michael Peterson (HBO/HBO Max) Andrew Garfield – Under the Banner of Heaven as Detective Jeb Pyre (FX) Oscar Isaac – Scenes from a Marriage as Jonathan Levy (HBO/HBO Max) Michael Keaton – Dopesick as Dr. Samuel Finnix (Hulu) Himesh Patel – Station Eleven as Jeevan Chaudhary (HBO/HBO Max) Sebastian Stan – Pam & Tommy as Tommy Lee (Hulu) Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie Toni Collette – The Staircase as Kathleen Peterson (HBO/HBO Max) Julia Garner – Inventing Anna as Anna Delvey (Netflix) Lily James – Pam & Tommy as Pamela Anderson (Hulu) Sarah Paulson – Impeachment: American Crime Story as Linda Tripp (FX) Margaret Qualley – Maid as Alex Russell (Netflix) Amanda Seyfried – The Dropout as Elizabeth Holmes (Hulu)
Gold Derby, by a large margin, has Michael Keaton and Amanda Seyfried as the favorites to win. Runner-ups favorites are Sebastian Stan and Andrew Garfield on the actor side. On the actress side, we have Lily James and Margaret Qualley as the runner-ups.
Who wins here? Normally these awards go to performers attached to a Limited Series nominee, but last year, Ewan McGregor won for Halston.

Girl, you gonna be broke. It depends on how much. It is fairly obvious that Keaton and Seyfried are the favorites. But if you put 5 bucks down for both, there’s a potential big return if there’s an upset.

Girl, you gonna be broke. Why ? The Emmys have always been unpredictable . Oh and Sarah won the HCA TV award for her performance last week so me predicting her is not unreasonable.

Lily James covered in makeup delivering a spot-on Pamela Anderson impersonation is exactly the kind of performance that gets awards. She's this year's Tammy Faye. For actor it's probably either Keaton (boring) or Firth (better), but I can hope for Stan.

That may or may not have something to do with the fact that Seyfried, James, Qualley and Collette were all in another category.

Yes , you're right but it changes absolutely nothing to the possibility of her winning. The Emmys have always adored her.

Do Emmy voters care about awards given out by other awards association? What I mean is, how much does that influence their own votes?
