John Oliver is always well reasoned and logical which I like but - nah, it makes perfect sense to "consider" voting for a member of the Republican Party IF you believe they are more likely to solve the economic problems ........sure there is not a magical fix but they are not necessarily equal to each in that regard either. You can't tell people who are looking at the midterm races and say to them - the Party in POTUS power AND that controls the Senate, AND the House isn't to blame for your dire situation at all. People have the right to be pissed..........throw them ALL out of office is a perfectly logical response...... rewarding the branches for putting you in that dire situation is on some basic level counter-intuitive. I'm not sure that the world inflation mitigates that either tbh - I don't live in Japan etc....I don't vote in UK elections There's perfectly valid reasons for votes in both parties - in these midterms anyway.....not saying I'm voting that way ^ but I certainly get how people would........ far more than I think they'd be persuaded by these "logical" arguments over what they feel in their gut tbh What policies do you think Republicans would implement that would make more of a difference in solving the economic problems? The fact that inflation is currently an issue around the world despite countries' different approaches to Covid and different approaches in government spending, etc. to me suggests that the issue goes beyond the policies of any one government.... so ignoring the interconnectedness of other countries' economies is sort of cherry picking where you choose to place the blame. Just saying "I don't live in Japan" or "I don't vote in UK elections" in response to inflation over there is like saying a heat wave in the UK isn't relevant to you even though the phenomenon of climate change affects the entire planet we share.... Sure people have the right to be pissed, but it's frustrating when "what they feel in their gut" just seems like knee-jerk anger directed at whatever target they're already predisposed to be mad at more than anything else...

The GOP has demonstrated they care very little about economics (and public health) over the past three years. Its been all about cultural war nonsense. Day in, day out. People can be angry, but at the same time, they have to be logical and reasonable. I have asked you multiple times about "Biden's regressive economic policies" and you have dodged it every single time. The answer is, you cannot name it. It's simply red-pill nonsense. What we're experiencing here is the long-term side effects of government shutdowns.

No. People do NOT have to be logical and reasonable.......people can be angry and pissed off. That's it.....like hugobolso doesn't have to justify his vote in some poll on a message board (come on, GTFO) people who lost their retirement savings - or a chunk of it - or people who will never be able to buy a house don't need to justify their vote to any of us....... so stop asking pacinoyes to come up with a plan FOR the Republican Party -and stop fncking addressing him .........because it's not HIS job to do such a thing ...... pacinoyes didn't say he was voting for Ron DeSantis did he? He didn't say he was voting straight Republican did he?.............and the policies in place are Democratic policies - see below ........this is a fact........so:......GTFO again ...

The hole just got deeper. We can’t have rational conversations without logic and reasoning.

Just a few questions. All what I ask is brutally honest responses and your own views, not the views of others. This is a no cancellation zone so to speak. This was supposed to be a simple, honest poll. No fighting or getting heated but we all decided to gang up on poor pacinoyes anyway for having the “wrong” opinions
