The biggest debate of all...I think we all know what I'm going for.

They're both amazing in their own ways. Friends to me is like comfort food, except for those 2 Ross/Rachel break up episodes (and the god damn clip show ones) I can, and have, watched every episode innumerable times, and even when it was at its very stupidest I have yet to get sick of it.
Seinfeld was too often bitter and miserable to be so easily, repeatedly watchable, but there's little doubt that the thing at its best was the better show, and one that lent so much to the other.

Gotta be Seinfeld, my #2 show of all-time. It's just so smart and consistently funny, with the run from S4 to S8 being the best ever for a sitcom imo. S9 was a step-down, but it still had a bunch of great stuff, and I actually liked the finale quite a lot. All four characters were hysterical and perfectly written, with George and Elaine being my favourites (Alexander and Louis-Dreyfus were my favourite cast members as well). Also, Newman.
But Friends is just so enjoyable and forever re-watchable. The above description of 'comfort food' is just perfect. It got really dumb in the last few seasons (though it still pulled out some classics), and some of its iconic storylines are deserving of their fame. It lies just outside my top 20 shows, but it's one of the few I can watch at pretty much anytime.

I'm sorry, but I find Seinfeld painfully unfunny. I can barely crack a smile whilst watching it, and the characters are annoying.
Friends is on another level.

Friends is unwatchably bad about 85% of the time.
Seinfeld is GOAT level and pretty much every episode still holds up as hilarious after I've seen them all dozens of times.

Friends. I used to like Seinfeld a lot more than I do now, but I just can't bring myself to rewatch it anymore or ever binge Seinfeld, while as I can slip into the world in Friends extremely easily.

I wouldn't be the biggest Friends fan in the world. I think that at its best it was near peerless, but at its worst if was just poor. I do however detest Seinfeld, so Friends takes this one with ease.

I could never get into Friends, whereas every episode of Seinfeld I've watched was impressive.

Seinfeld holds up better than any other 90s comedy except the Simpsons, or maybe The Larry Sanders Show. Friends causes me physical pain.

They are both just about my favorite shows, only topped by Arrested Development's first three seasons as far as sitcoms go. Seinfeld is probably the better show, but I find Friends much more re-watchable over all.
