Hoyte is getting that Cinematography Oscar. Not if Deakins or Lachman have anything to say about that

Hoyte is getting that Cinematography Oscar. Not if Deakins or Lachman have anything to say about that yeah some serious competition. I'm rooting for Deakins but I'd be more than okay if Hoyte wins.

Looks solid. I'm sure the battle sequences will be spectacular, the trailer was apparently all over the place though, I'll admit, although that's probably just a case of the film being of a more of an ensembled piece then anything.
Also apparently the shooting script is around 112 pages, so it looks to be Nolan's shortest film in a while, sand it might actually be a pretty straightforward plot & not at least 3 hours long. Looking forward to it.

The actual script could consist of a lot of direction as oppose to actual dialogue though. Nolan also mentioned the length as being about 2 hours long, so it's probably considerably shorter then Interstellar.

Can't wait. It's looking like Rylance's role is bigger than I initially expected, which is awesome.

I think critics would be more apt to not go after him with their knives out again if Dunkirk is considerably straightforward and shorter than those two films.

A lot of it depends on the execution of the film as well. I'm thinking Dunkirk will be pretty well-received, but will see. Also it's The Dark Knight Rises not The Dark Knight Returns. Nolan didn't attempt to adapt the classic 80's story.

Bro, it's Deakin's (or Lachhman's if Wondetstruck is an actual threat, which its looking like even more day by day) time. The category is stacked this year tho, with the PTA and Debonnel (and Three Billboards hopefully) in contention too. This may finally be Hotye's crack with the Academy (criminally snubbed for Her), but he sure AF ain't gonna win.

Not really hyped tbh, Nolan is hit-and-miss af for me (loved Memento, TDK and Inception, don't really care for the rest, and TDKR is bottom 10 of all time worthy).
