I guess I’m seeing Red Rocket. Thanks for the great presentation Sharbs. Any complaints I had were not with you xD

So y'all didn't watch Titane. Got it. Well, at least we got Vincent in.

Sad Trier missed, but overall very happy with TWPITW's performance, and just the nominees in general.

No Dowd but Plimpton is in? Did people think Dowd was supporting? I thought it was established that she would be leading for this. she had one vote for supporting, that wouldn't have made the difference to reach the field. Peeps just liked Plimpton more

I'm thinking she must've been screwed by placement controversy because most people had her in Lead and that was a much stronger category than supporting. Thank goodness Plimpton got in at least!

Ryan woke up today and chose violence. I like The Green Knight, he’s just my least favorite of the nominees I more just meant in general

lots I could complain about as always, but overall these picks are really solid and representative of why 2021 was a damn great year. Especially excited about the Green Knight and Worst Person love, and that literally perfect cinematography lineup (perfect match with the Tommens!), West Side Story and Dune all over the place, Red Rocket crushing it, Power of the Dog in the mix, the Billie Eilish doc! ok, ok, but if I can complain a teeny bit: -- Not enough Titane. Spike Lee is so disappointed in us -- Harder They Fall completely overlooked. -- French Dispatch for PD is fine and Wright is genuinely inspired, but screenplay? thanks for the presentation, Sharbs !

I guess I'll have to watch Titane now ... I've been avoiding it.

Not that I'm mad Plimpton got in as she was brilliant too.

I was really only rooting for two things here... Matt Damon for performer of the year (one of his finest performances ever in Stillwater, one of the best brief performances in recent years in No Sudden Move, and a surprisingly sturdy and believable turn in The Last Duel). Adam Driver making it over him, for being overshadowed by everyone in The Last Duel, and bringing nothing to the table in House of Trainwreck (ns Annette yet) is unforgivable. Bradley Cooper making it over him, for his terrible, miscalculated performance with one good scene in Nightmare Alley, and a brief caricature in Licorice Pizza is borderline criminal. ... and Red Rocket in film editing would've been nice. But overall, a pretty good set of nominees. I watched The Worst Person in the World after the voting deadline and was kind of scared that Anders Danielsen Lie wasn't gonna make it... but thankfully he did. Maybe my favorite performance of the year. thanks for all the hard work Sharbs!

It might be wishful thinking, but an Anders win is starting to look possible.

Great set of nominations. - I was very worried that Shang-Chi might get snubbed in Choreography in favour of In the Heights or something. Glad to see it wasn't the case. Otherwise you wouldn't have heard the end of my complaining.
- Very surprised that No Way Home overperformed in the AMARA Top 50 but couldn't secure any nominations here.
- PERFECT production design lineup. Absolutely zero complaints. Great costume design lineup too.
- Jodie Comer snubbed for Performer of the Year and I haven't even seen her films yet.
- Supremely glad Anders Danielsen Lie, Mike Faist, Martha Plimpton, Alana Haim, Rebecca Ferguson, Jeffrey Wright and Hidetoshi Nishijima made it in the Acting categories.
- Awesome editing nomination for Inside. No song nominated though? I thought White Woman's Instagram would make it.

Licorice Pizza was snubbed for cinematography. That and Alana for Actress were the only nominations I gave to it.

Also, what the hell? C'mon C'mon snubbed in everything? Not even a nomination for Woody Norman or Original Screenplay? Damn, the whole world did that film dirty.

Good nominations, better than the Oscar ones, that's for sure. But still, pretty standard stuff with no real surprises.

Sorry I didn't vote, but I have A LOT to catch up. The amount of 2021 films I've seen is ridiculously low.
Still, glad to see West Side Story doing so well, and justice being made to Alana Haim and Vincent Lindon (had I voted, perhaps Titane would've ended with more noms).
Also, I was predicting Inside to score at least two song nominations, but it didn't... Unusual good year for the category? Not enough people have seen it yet? Well, at least it got a Soundtrack nomination.

Mostly really great stuff but here are my complaints - Apparently not enough people saw The Novice...that should have at least gotten nommed for Debut Feature but it had some great techs as well. - The Rescue didn't make it in Documentary, such a shame. - Andrew Garfield is the Performer of the Year! Also surprised Cumberbatch didn't make it in there. - Red Rocket did well, but deserved much more love. Ok, I'll just stop there. But mostly good stuff!

- Apparently not enough people saw The Novice...that should have at least gotten nommed for Debut Feature but it had some great techs as well. Debut feature was a missed opportunity here. So many good options -- Novice, Shiva Baby, Harder They Fall, The Humans, but we went with the most basic and high-profile picks. Rescue definitely should've got in over Val as well...
