Can't help feeling that Magnolia undeservedly robbed some noms of American Beauty in Film Editing, Ensemble Cast, Supporting Actress, Sup. Actor and Best Picture, but apart from that, I can say I like most of these. Especially pleased with The Straight Story getting in the right categories.

MAGNOLIA is a MASTERPIECE that would make your all-time favorite movie look like a big pile of shit. 🖕

Comparing MAGNOLIA to AMERICAN BEAUTY is like comparing Jordan to James Harden. It didn't rob shit, but Mendes getting in over Jonze, Pierce, and Leigh is a bad fucking joke.

SAD
No Fincher or Pitt for Fight Club or Brittany Murphy for Girl, Interrupted. I had them each at #1, so I tried.

I find the lack of The Sixth Sense (especially Osment) disturbing but overall these are very good and I'm glad that Snow Falling on Cedars made it in Cinematography despite pretty much being a non-entity among movie fans these days. I'll prefer to think that my FYC somewhat helped

Mostly pleased with the noms, difficult to argue with what the year had to offer but tbh I thought The Blair Witch Project would have a few noms but nothing Year's too stacked for acting but I wished Winslet, Penn/Morton make it somehow. Anyways, a few blindspots aside (first time I heard of Ravenous and Snow Falling...) pretty much know where to vote...
