I do not believe this has come up yet so..........Let's get this started!!
Since this is still very early in the process, I want this to be more informal than anything else. But having said that let's have some fun and let's get going!!
We have seen Cannes and Sundance movies already and a handful of other festivals. We have also seen a handful of movies that have gotten good reviews that might be viewed as Oscar contenders down the road.
As of right now: Who is winning Best Picture next March?

Right now I’d go with either The Fabelmans or Killers of the Flower Moon, if it’s coming out this year.

I'm voting for The Fabelmans, though at point it's just a guess

For a serious guess if I had to say now I might say Babylon as a make up for the La La Land debacle and Spielberg gets BD no. 3. Those feel like the two big ones.

That's a vote for She Said, right? You know, in all honesty it probably is. It seems that the Academy isn't quite keen on picking Big Movies About The Industry so I'm not really feeling Babylon while The Fabelmans strikes me as something that'll probably be too Spielberg-personal to have that widespread winner reach. Maybe Flower Moon will do the trick since it's gonna explore the horrible treatment of the Native Americans which'll earn it some importance points but frankly She Said seems like the most zeitgeisty pick that everyone can unite around (unless the movie is badly received). You can already tell that Hollywood is gonna feel like voting for it will be a big statement and the right thing to do. But still, it's super early. Maybe a contender will arise that we're not even thinking about right now.
