^ Yeah, seems like he went out without suffering.
Unbelievable... RIP.

This bums me out. Our Goodfella is gone! I always looked at him in Field of Dreams (my first exposure to him) as this memorable ghostly presence. So this makes me want to look up a scene of him from that movie for sentimental reasons. Rest peacefully, Ray.

He will always be my Henry but I'll never not remember him for his electric performance in Something Wild, and tender father and lover in Corinna, Corinna. Two polar opposites with Henry Hill in between. The fucking man. RIP

These tributes are hitting me even harder than they usually do. You can tell just how revered this man was, and how so many took him for granted.

I’ve never seen this fan art before and I’m so disappointed it was in death that I discover it. We all love to talk about his great film roles but Tommy Vercetti was ICONIC too

The sincerity of the love and admiration being expressed for this man is really pouring through - and notice how detailed the tributes are about him.

Damn. When I got up this morning, I saw that Giancarlo Esposito had made a post about him on Insta, and I just assumed it was his Birthday. Gutted, RIP brother

This scene obviously hits much differently now, but man, this is still one of the best death scenes of the last decade.

RIP. I was shocked to read about it this morning. Dominick and Eugene was one his most underrated performances.

I watched Demme's underrated Something Wild today. The whole thing is really great but it really kicks into high gear at the halfway point when Liotta shows up. He immediately brings a magnetic, ominous aura, adding a layer of danger over the rest of the film, so volatile he could just snap at any moment. It's tremendous stuff, gotta be a signature performance of the '80s. RIP Ray...

Could've posted this in the Commercials thread, or Last Great Perf thread? What a underrated, kinda untapped comic talent he had.
