That premise sounds like it could almost be a different spin on Michael Haneke’s Cache - where the "whodunit" aspect becomes less important as the focus is really on the personal guilt of the protagonist.

Seydoux out. Kruger & Guy Pearce in. (Wonder if Peter Suschitzky returns)

Honestly, I'm good with this. I liked Seydoux a lot in Crimes of the Future (usually I am very lukewarm on her), but I'm excited to see what Kruger and Pearce can do with Cronenberg.

Between this and The Brutalist, I'm happy to see Guy Pearce get more solid work in what feels like bigger films. His projects these past few years hadn't been the most exciting.

Yikes, I didn't like Crimes of the Future much - and I thought Seydoux was great there - the best thing in it - and with the roll she's been on lately (stupendous in France, and again in the complete opposite One Fine Morning etc) she's arguably the very best actress under 40 going.......... Kruger is fine, but less interesting........ and a good bit older......hmmmmm
