The man's three-for-three in my book! I desperately need to re-watch The Witch, but from memory it's close to a perfect film. I cooled on The Lighthouse on a second viewing, but it's still a wonderfully gnarly, gonzo bit of original filmmaking. The Northman was just an exhilarating experience - likely the most obviously flawed of the three, but its immersive quality is unparalleled, and I've not stopped thinking about it since I saw it a week ago.

Pretty much everyone with a line to read has given a flawless performance under his direction, but the big standouts in a rough order would be:

The Witch - Which is a fully realized genre small time (at least small time) masterpiece The Lighthouse - Great, but falls flat at the end The Northman - Has greatness in it, but is a pretty mixed bag in this form anyway - wildly overrated by some tbh I enjoyed Black Phillip's work  |

I'm seeing The Northman in a few hours, but his other two are masterpieces in my book. Would give both 10/10, but I definitely prefer The Lighthouse.
