Thinking about testing out a podcast that would have two shows: one that would be a regular movie discussion hopefully with some good analysis and perspective, and the other would just be me and my co-host shooting the shit on whatever topic comes up.

Trying not to stretch myself too thin. Which has always been a problem for me and resulted in a lot of unfinished works. Myself and a few friends are developing a web series. We've already written it, cast about 90% of the parts, scouted most locations to shoot, and are working on acquiring proper equipment now. I know a guy who is a producer and has actually worked on real projects and still continues to work and he's going to have a meeting with us soon about the project to see what he can/will help us with. Really we just want his advice and any knowledge he may have of creating any sort of equipment we may need. Things like lighting equipment for the cheap seeing as how we're completely self funded we don't have a big budget. I'd appreciate if you could pass along any equipment advice you get. Some friends and I have considered filming some things we've written but we could use any help possible on finding cheap, decent equipment.

I will say though I was mainly talking about lighting equipment, rigs, props, and the sort. For cameras and audio equipment we're buying as top of the line as we can. If you don't have any editing programs you can rent Adobe Premiere on a monthly basis to use which is pretty sweet considering their programs are not cheap.

I paid off all my credit card debt last Wednesday. It wasn't really all that much, especially compared to what a lot of people have backed up, but I've been in the hole for over 6 years so it was a great feeling to get that knocked out. I'm working on paying off my car next and still saving money so I can finally move out later this year (my goal is October and my car could be paid off by July, if I make one big payment at the end). I did got a long time without going gambling, but I've gone back and played a few times recently. But it's now been about 3 weeks since I've been back, so I'm back to not going which is nice. I finally feel so much more comfortable in life and stable; now I just need to figure out how to sleep better haha.

Looking for a job right now. It's really quite a tedious process and I'm starting to regret not applying when I was in the final stages of my thesis. Still though, I guess it's nice to have a bit of spare time after studying for over five years.

Dear Fish,
I know you don't feel well... but 4 tablets of Alka Seltzer is too much at once. Far too much.

I start my new job tomorrow. It's data work, not my first choice of field, but it's in a great location in Manhattan and I'll have some money to buy shit again. I'm also thinking about taking some continuing education courses, as opposed to a few years in grad school. Hmm.

Wedding planning is hard. So much work. But its kind of weird to plan a gay one in Cincinnati. The amount of bridal books sent to me by our vendor is kinda funny. But even beyond that, the overall reactions have been odd. Just walking in for cake tasting and suit fitting has been filled with downright comically, unintentional rude comments. Don't feel bad, though, Cincinnati will be long in the past soon enough. Other than that and school, just started working for Amazon Prime Now. The warehouse is in the ugliest part of Cincinnati, but I'm doing it so that I have an easily transferred job on arrival when my fiancΓ© and I move to Seattle in August. It's decent, brainless work - so perfect for balancing school/life with.

Have memorized pretty much all of my monologue in preparation for performing in front of my class/teacher tomorrow. It's one thing cold reading it which I did well a couple weeks ago, but now without anything in front of me, it's gonna be interesting. Let's see how it goes.

Nice, I played trumpet and French horn all through middle and high school. Is it for a play or something?

Nice, I played trumpet and French horn all through middle and high school. Is it for a play or something? Then you must know the official trumpet greeting... Hi, I'm better than you Musical. Nothing terribly special, just for school, but I'm one of the only amateurs to get a spot so there's that

atn I was French Horn most of the time, so my greeting is mostly just quiet resentment over never having the melody. Still cool. I played piano for a musical in high school, it was fun. mikediastavrone96 Twinsies

Update to my job search: I was offered a job working for an adult foster care organization, and I start my training tomorrow. Even better, they said they'd do their best to arrange my hours so that I don't have to leave my current job with a local mental health center, too.

I've been bashing my head against an R-shaped wall for this stupid project for the last like four hours and I'm 3 weeks behind on grading and I keep getting 98.5's on my Chinese exams and it's killing me and I ran out of cheese just now, but I skunked my dad at ping pong tonight and finished my Pokemon Sun nuzlocke run yesterday with minimal casualties and I did laundry today so I don't have to wear a work shirt to my meeting tomorrow so all in all I'd say I'm a pretty monumental success lately.

Are they similar to post undergrad career related courses? I think you should go to Columbia Law.

There were some kinks I had to iron out before hand such as tempo, recognizing beats etc so that's what I worked on most and it paid off, she was impressed. I've been urged to just sign up for a theater league where I get sent notifications and kept in the loop about what's happening around my area like auditions and stuff from all theaters, so I can pick and choose which ones I want to go for. Super excited!

Intense day at work. My client got into a big fight with his dad basically as soon as I walked in the door and it got to the point where he was saying he wanted to kill himself. After a while I was able to calm him down and mediate a talk between him and his father so they could speak frankly about the things that were bothering them and how they could change things up. He seemed to be in a much better place by the end and was getting ready to play video games with his brothers as I left.
