Looks like LeBraaaan is about to pass Jordan in playoff points -- what a player.
So who do you guys have for the finals?

So who do you guys have for the finals? Tough to argue with the Warriors coming out on top. They're just so good defensively. I really do think the additions of Deron and Korver were big for Cleveland, and they're a better team than they were a year ago, but Golden State's better too. I think Warriors in 5 sounds about right. Still, it's pretty cool that 2 teams will play the finals for 3 consecutive years for the first time in NBA history. I think it's pretty safe to say it wouldn't be sitting at one title apiece if the Warriors hadn't lost Bogut when they did last year, and Draymond for game 5, but damn if it doesn't tee this one up pretty beautifully... Even if Cleveland really took the sheen off it by losing game 3 to Boston

I swear every other caller on ESPN radio is comparing Lebron to Jordon. So, who's better: Jordan or LeBron? Every caller is saying the same thing with different words (vast majority are saying Jordan). Me? I don't watch enough basketball to make an accurate assessment. Also, I can't believe I spelled Jordan with an O.

I swear every other caller on ESPN radio is comparing Lebron to Jordon. So, who's better: Jordan or LeBron? I think at this point it is still tough to argue with MJ, but the real reason Lebron will never win this argument is that for whatever reason (probably multiple reasons) he has failed to sell himself to people the way that Jordan did. Jordan in the 90s was one of the most famous/beloved people on the planet, even with all the controversy that surrounded him at a certain point which just got swept under the carpet, and basketball during his time on top was at a level of popularity it has not come close to since Lebron has had no real controversies, that don't relate to his ego, and yet the guy still can't get the universal respect he deserves. I'm sure he'll get a lot more when he's gone, he's already getting more now that the Warriors have taken over the game. There's absolutely an element of nostalgia in play.

I think two things really hurt LeBron's appeal for some: 1. The whole "Chosen One" hype he entered the league with. 2. How he handled the move to Miami ( The Decision, "...not 6, not 7," etc.). Jordan not having the expectation to become an all-timer, his relative lack of any basketball-related controversies (only controversies I can think of for him usually had to do with his gambling), and the amazing marketing around him and his brand all certainly help keep his GOAT status undisputed though I'd still say he would be #1 if we stuck strictly with their basketball play. Right now, I'd put LeBron #4 all-time with him having just passed Magic and still behind MJ, Wilt, and Kareem for me.

How do you feel about Garnett and Duncan amazing players possibly or overrated perhaps?. Both were amazing players, with Duncan in my all-time top 10 and my pick as the best power forward in NBA history.

Oh, there's no denying he deserves his status based on what he did on the court alone. I think too many people today have way too short memory spans, and forget so much of what made him great. The way he evolved his game as he got older to remain at the top, the beastliness of his defensive play that no guard can equal in conjunction with the kind of offense he produced, and the ridiculous way he elevated himself in the playoffs. Jordan's controversies are all basically conspiracy theories, but you know that in this day and age if the same kind of crap was aimed at Lebron it'd stick in a way it never did to Jordan.

I think I lost all interest in this series, tbh. Maybe it's the long ass delay, or just not wanting to see the same two teams face off yet again.
I'll start tuning in once one of the teams hits 3 wins.

Finding it a little humorous that many on social media are complaining about how this was a blowout, as if 6 of the 7 games in last year's Finals weren't blowouts.

This is one of those times when you have to be black to understand what he is feeling in that clip. As a black person, who is successful, he is saying to himself, seriously, I can be one of the best in the sports, I can donate my time and money to help children ( Lebron pays for kids to go to college), he can be a good citizen, he can just be a good person in general and it all boils down to is the color of his skin. It really is a shame when you have to endure something like this in life when you can go down the right path and even accomplish more but you are still looked at as a N-word. And that is a shame . The irony is of course, the person that wrote the derogatory word is probably mad cause he or she were given a head start in life by default and lashed out at him due to the fact that he was able to overcome the odds and make something out of his life. As someone who had to file a complaint against a white woman at my job because she said something to me so foul that I was shocked to the point where I thought, wow, this white lady spoke to me like I should be cleaning her floors.... I realized that her outcry had more to do with what I represent, an educated person whom in fact is way smarter than she... well, you know there are some people in the world who simply want to keep black people in his/her place. Period. And the person who wrote that on Lebron's fence just wanted to remind him of that.... sad world. seriously.

When you add Kevin Durant (a future HOF) to a +70 win team, the outcome is inevitable. Cavs will give it their all like they did last year but this is going to be a hurdle too far methinks. And just think that Thompson - arguably the best shooter in the league - isn't even hitting shots yet they're still winning by 20+ points.
