Incredible year for my Miami Heat and getting to the finals against the odds is huge credit to Spoelstra and a hungry group of players. But when you potentially lose Bam Adebayo, Goran Dragic and possibly Jimmy Butler for Game 2 and maybe more, what the fuck is the point anymore?
Congrats to the Lakers and especially to LeBron James. I remember how in his early career I really disliked him as a person and thought he was a selfish and therefore overrated player. Rarely have I changed my mind as much about an athlete as in his case. He has developped in such an incredible manner as an athlete, becoming one of the smartest basketballers I've seen. And winning four NBA titles with three different teams is quite an accomplishment, especially with his two latest though. If you would have put any player instead of him on the roster of the 2020 Lakers or especially the 2016 Cavaliers they wouldn't have won the title.
