Clippers are missing 2 of their top 5 guys right now, so Iβm not putting much stock into it. Everyone still being rusty doesnβt help either.
If Clippers win thatβll be impressive I guess, but the thing that this team needs most is to build chemistry between their core guys. They donβt have too much experience under their belt playing together.

Are they going to play (hopefully) the remaining games for the season? That's what another 20 games? Ugh. I feel like the season should be shortened and then just go for the playoffs.

The NBA is nearly unwatchable now.
But fuck, nothing else is on so... UGH... begrudingly tunes in to the Spurs.

The long standing record for most points by a player in a playoff game is definitely going to be broken within the next few years.

The long standing record for most points by a player in a playoff game is definitely going to be broken within the next few years. I wouldn't be so confident about that. It's still notable to see a player go for 45 in the playoffs and even though Mitchell put on a hell of a show with 57, playoff-quality teams these days are not designed to be so reliant on a scorer like that. I'd be surprised if we see anyone go for 55 in the next few years.

I'd be surprised if we see anyone go for 55 in the next few years. Comparing the beginning of this decade to the beginning of the previous decade, weβve seen an almost 15 point increase in average points per game, which has trended up quickly even the past couple of years and likely to continue in an upward trend. Looking at the record, weβve seen 6 different players score 50+ in the past 3 years. In all of 90βs, Jordan and Barkley were the only two players to do so. With how popular the three ball is becoming and little rule changes like having an offensive rebound only put 14 seconds on the clock rather than 24 to speed up the game, Iβll give it 5 years until we see it broken. Doncic breaking the record for points in a playoff debut by dropping 42 last night (on a team thatβs full of dogs and great defenders) just adds to my confidence, especially since heβs only 21 and considered his play to be lacklustre. Weβve seen great performances in this bubble though, many of them being from unlikely players, so maybe not playing in front of the fans is having a bit of an impact on that, but I donβt know.

An all time game with an all time performance by Luka. Wow. Heβs only 21 too. Barring any serious injuries, I think heβll be the best player in the NBA within another 2-3 years.

Exactly 4 years ago to the day Kaepernick began his kneeling protests. Damn, how those tides have turned.

Chapeau! That's finally just really a great gesture.
I mean they are a title favourite this year (despite I still think one of the two LA teams will grab the title) and could get easily docked a game here to get the series close again to 2-3.
And even better is that the other teams followed.
Also great support from Naomi Osaka, who withdrew from her semifinal at the tennis masters in Cincinnati (or New York this year).

Both of the LA teams voted to not continue the rest of the NBA season in a last night meeting, so itβs looking likely that theyβre done for the playoffs. The whole season might even be in jeopardy.

I'm thinking that poll was a show of force to get leverage on the owners, putting the ball in their court to commit to social justice and police reform. If the owners don't take major action and speak with their wallets, I think the season is over.

They need to quit thinking about themselves and get back on the court. Draftkings stock is down 2.5%
