This dude definitely deserves his own thread, right? I think he's an incredible actor (and not so bad looking ). I'm currently devouring his filmography. Please, share your thoughts. https://www.instagram.com/p/BmLvia6nMcO

I've only ever seen him in a few movies iirc - A Prophet (an all timer), The Mauritanian and The Past - a couple others - those are the ones that stick out to me obviously. The Serpent too ........must see more ...... He has a lot of stuff in his back history that's fascinating in some interviews I've read - first of all I remember we might have a thread or did on IMDB maybe - where he talked about his favorite movies and Taxi Driver and Scarecrow were 1 and 2 - which is actually quite revealing a top 2 .......like if you are going to do a 1-2 of the GOATs that's a more interesting DePac duo of material than Panic in Needle Park and Mean Streets.......and a more "range" mix for an actor to be drawn too...... I like what I've seen a lot though and he's another guy I've heard talk about using animals in his acting ....... .......serious when you hear him talk which is always a plus, his upside in movies seems Adam Driver-ish to me from what I know, a key role in Kitbag ....like Driver (same age maybe?) seems quite ascendent in what might be on his horizon atm

His dream is to act opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, not De Niro or Pacino... Hm... pacinoyes.

His dream is to act opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, not De Niro or Pacino... Hm... pacinoyes . - hey all I know is he said this once "And of course, Robert De Niro, who stays the best actor ever for me, to me. The ’70s, in a way, they created some codes of acting that never moved from there."
Too many great actors whose names end in "o" - that's the problem tbh editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/tahar-rahims-five-favorite-films/

pacinoyes - Yes! Here, he's saying he was drawn to A Prophet because the role recalled De Niro and Pacino and the American New Wave of the 70s.

I recently watched The Price of Success (streaming on Netflix US) - it's more than a bit clichéd and not incredibly insightful, but it's made more than watchable by Rahim's magnetic star turn. The dude has charisma for days.
