Just got home and seeing the Bears with the number two spot and a QB in it to boot.
Interesting... (read: Huh?)

That took me by surprise, especially since they signed Mike Glennon already.

Browns are trying to trade for Cousins.
Panthers take McCaffrey, who I thought was the best RB in this draft class.

Texans and Browns keep doing business.
Deshaun Watson won't be any good though.

I thought QB's sucked this year and surprisingly already 3 have been taken They do, but watch Mahomes be the only successful QB from this draft.

Derek Barnett over Jonathan Allen? Decisions like these are why the Eagles have 0 rings.

I thought QB's sucked this year and surprisingly already 3 have been taken Probably GMs trying to please the owners. Owners more likely to respond positively to picking a QB to try to save the franchise than a WR, CB, or lineman.

Fucking hell I really wanted Howard for the Jags. Goes to Tampa Bay instead.

If the Jags want to redeem themselves after the terrible Fournette pick, they'll trade back into the first round and take Forrest Lamp.

Engram to the G-Men. I like it.

A good receiving TE, but lacks blocking ability... not sure I like this Engram pick.
Then again, I doubted OBJ when we drafted him, so what do I know?

The offensive line can't run block so it really isn't gonna help much. If they can get Lamp or a good O-Lineman tomorrow in the 2nd round this could end up working out. They do a better job at pass blocking which is why I preferred trading down to get OJ Howard, which would fill the big need at tight end.
Unfortunately, I really don't think Lamp makes it past Seattle here.
EDIT: Atlanta trades up and I see them as another potential team that could take Lamp. *sigh*
Atlanta passes on Lamp, thank God. The Jags need to make the trade NOW, I highly doubt this first round ends with him still on the board.

Was expecting the Bills to take Kizer here. The Browns just traded up to #29, that's gotta be the pick.

Browns draft a tight end but there's no QB to get him the ball.
Ok, the 49ers traded back up to the #31 spot. Surly this has to be Kizer right?
Nope, it's Reuben Foster. The Saints will very likely go defense and then the first two picks in the 2nd round are the Seahawks and Packers. Jags need to make the trade right now because it's gonna take a miracle for Lamp to fall to the Jags.

Did not expect Chicago and San Francisco to swap places. There was no need to trade all of that to move up one spot.

Jags trade up 1 spot. If this isn't Lamp, I'm going to pop a vein. If it's Cam Robinson, I'll be ok with that too.

Some pretty surprising moves in the first. Biggest head scratcher being the trades up to get QBs and two teams selecting anybody over Dashaun Watson. What in the fuck where Chicago and KC thinking? Chicago trading up to #2 to take......Mitch Trubisky? lol what? He's started 13 games in college. 13. As a QB. It's quite rare for that to not be a bad thing. At least the Texans got it right. Mahomes does have talent, but I'll never understand any QB in this draft being taken over a guy who went to back to back National Championship games winning the second one. Watson had a pretty stellar collegiate career. The other two? Sure they were "good" but I don't see anything in either of them that makes me think they can be franchise altering players.
Tampa Bay stood their ground and were able to nab O.J. Howard. Even though it's completely a luxury pick it's still an excellent move considering Howard is an undeniable top 10 talent. I really hope they trade up in the second and grab Budda Baker. Safety is easily the biggest need for the Bucs.
I really like the Jags taking Fournette, but if HB was their desired position why not take the best offensive talent by miles in the draft and grab McCaffrey? Do not understand the logic there at all. It's a crazy thing to say that the guy who got drafted #8 overall is the biggest steal of the entire draft. Cleveland had to take Garrett, Chicago had to be dumbasses, the 49ers should've absolutely drafted McCaffrey over Thomas. He's the clear cut best offensive player in the draft and better than 90% of last years. Fuck teams 1-7 for letting the Panthers scoop him up.
I was so happy to see the Saints waste their #11 pick by majorly overdrafting Marshon Lattimore. Thank God. I'll never get how anyone can think he's the best CB in the draft. The Top 2, Jourdan Lewis and Sidney Jones, weren't going in the first round for major character concerns and a big injury respectively. That still left Teez Tabor(poor workouts unfortunately), Quincy Wilson(stud), Kevin King(stud), Adoree' Jackson, Tre'Davious White, and even Garen Conley who are all superior prospects to Lattimore. Once again, thank you New Orleans.
