HoG should pass 50 million domestic this weekend or at absolute worst early next week - although I'm not sure how many theaters it lost - so maybe it'll just pass squeak past it. So that'll be the only 50 million adult drama for in the Pandemic era - last 2 years - to do it - R rated, non-sequel, non-genre etc. One more good WW weekend and it should come close to around 135 million with Japan & South Korea openings next week.......may get close to 150 million or hit a wall and hover in the 140s - hard to know how long this has left globally. We may not get global numbers updated for 2 weeks again ....but it should have had a healthy bump since it was last updated globally. Theatrical Performance Domestic Box Office $49,453,205 International Box Office $77,395,200 Worldwide Box Office $126,848,405

Spider-Man: No Way Home is holding splendidly. The 355 eh still a flop, but could be worse, considering that Universal only paid for the domestic rights.

House of Gucci is cleaning up worldwide and that's what's bailing it out. Hopefully it can make some more bank in the east, aren't there a lot of fashion fans in Japan? Appealing to the global market is another way for adult dramas to sell themselves these days since the US doesn't seem to be interested. Although it's going to Apple TV the Audrey Hepburn biopic is the kind of thing that could have had that kind of success with how big she is in Europe and Japan.
The 355 bombing is one of the least surprising high concept flops for a while. I like those boilerplate spy movies a lot of the time and I thought this looked so colorless and generic. The budget is listed as 40-75 mil. so the studio better hope it was closer to 40.

It's one of those weird grey area cases where if it had maybe done 30m domestic in a normal environment, they would have been okay with its performance. That might be the reason why they decided to dump it in theaters, instead of releasing it on streaming where it probably would have been a bigger hit. They didn't have a whole lot to lose on the film, theoretically.

Lol @ 355 bombing. Cotillard should give her agent more bonus this year for getting her out of that mess.

Wow House of Gucci is doing really well internationally. If it keeps holding well and performs decently in Korea and Japan, I think it will close its international run with over $100 million which is definitely a very solid run for an adult-oriented film during these times.
In normal times HoG would've def made over $100 million in US and over $250 million worldwide.
