Even if Bradley misses Actor, he still has a shot at a producer credit.

Is anyone surprised by the lack of love / support for Frances McDormand this year ???? I mean is her Lady Macbeth that insignificant ?

Anyway , thanks for the reply.

I reviewed it in this thread (page link below) and said basically it's inscrutable which kills her chances............it's not really that it's Denzel's show - although he is there at the end in a far bigger way which helps him / hurts her........it's that it's the production design and the cinematography that's the whole show in this movie. In a lot of ways it's my favorite Lady Macbeth - although on paper she is all wrong for Lady Macbeth - she makes the role fit her..... I don't think she'll get nodded but I would nod her for this myself. Fascinating performance imo. movie-awards-redux.freeforums.net/thread/12716/last-great-performance-watched-thread?page=34

Now it's just a matter of figuring out who to subtract from each category because people can say what they like about critics awards but the BFCA is different. They usually end up hewing very close to the eventual nominees. Subtract one here, switch a couple out, but I buy that this is what the Oscar noms are mostly going to look like.

The Tragedy of MacBeth made both NBR and AFI Top 10. But now missing BFCA. I could see it missing Oscar.

It's a shame because I doubt there's 10 movies better than it this year but it's a very odd film - especially when it cuts the text in the middle - that's where it loses some people - and doesn't get them back. The end and especially the beginning scenes though are some of the best sequences of the year....... It's in the dangerous ground where it's like 8th and yeah, it could certainly miss ......the enduring popularity of smaller films is squeezing it (CODA, etc)

Lol, they finally announced their date as March 13, 2022: the same day as BAFTA.

It will be great when Gaga wins this, Colman (I guess) wins BAFTA and on that day everyone dismisses one of those ........maybe too quickly....
