Not really a surprise in a way. Although it might be a better film than the reviews indicate, it will still get screwed over twice because adult moviegoers will be looking for a film with better reviews and the teenage and popcorn crowd are not going to be saying "let's go see that Armenian genocide film! it sounds really cool!" No. the film just got screwed over twice.

Wait... wait... wait.... Kirk Kerkorian? Oh dear. No wonder the film is struck on a bad course. The late Mr. Kerkorian had quite a track record for films that missed the financial mark at MGM.

He literally just got a 3rd Oscar nom 2 years ago and he's working on a big high profile role where he'll be back in the conversation It's not like he's changed his career-- he's always been doing projects like this (Remember Flowers of War, and Exodus)

No. the film just got screwed over twice. It was also a huge passion project for him, which wasn't a very good sign to begin with. I doubt the film's failure will affect Bale's career though.

DiCaprio would never do this kind of films. Bale is terrible at picking projects.

lol What went wrong with Unforgettable? These Fatal Attraction sorts of films have been doing well lately, and I would've guessed that Heigl still had some audience goodwill left from her days of being a legitimate box office draw. Guess not.
