Holy shit! This was one of my all time favorite video games growing up. I remember a friend and I both thought it'd make for an awesome wildly entertaining movie. I'll settle for a tv series though. Not sure about the whole action comedy aspect of what they're going for (its from the writers of Zombieland and Deadpool) but in a way that could be a positive thing. Twisted Metal is such an absurdly outlandish video game after all so maybe its best that it doesn't take its self quite so seriously. Anthony Mackie is an awesome actor so thats just an added bonus. Bring this shit on!
The show is about motor-mouthed outsider John Doe (Mackie) who is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a trigger-happy car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown named who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck, whom fans of the game will know as Sweet Tooth.
