Fucking finally got back to going year by year through cinema it's only been like 3 years since I started '23. I'm gonna have to revisit some of the films from this year at some point, especially since I watched all the good ones first but most of the most of the ones I watched in the last week for me ranged from bad - slightly good so at least editing my lineups wasn't difficult. The exception to that is Os Lobos but I might be slightly biased since it's Portuguese. This year was very top heavy. The top 5 I got is very solid, much better than the Top 5 I had for the previous year I think. The Burning Brazier (when did letterboxd change the name to The Burning Crucible?) was the standout this year, been a few years since I saw it but I still have fond memories. Absolutely wacky and hilarious. It doesn't sweep my lineups even though it's the only 10 for the year do to how good the next few are. First time so far that's happened, every other year I've had one movie mostly sweep everything. Anyway on to the good stuff...
