Echoing what others have said about the show
The highlight for me from episode 4 is Tanya confusing Bureau of Land Management with Black Lives Matter lmao

Also, the opening credits (mesmerizing) proffer a lot of clues...pay attention to the illustrations beside/behind each cast member's name. The big, swollen fruit beside Steve Zahn's name. The snake beside Sydney Sweeney, and the sleeping jaguar beside Brittany O'Grady... Better watch out for Paula, Olivia...

Are we seeing any Emmy love for this next year? I fear it premiered too early in the eligibility season, but I definitely hope so!

Definitely.Along with Coolidge and maybe Connie Britton or even Steve Zahn. The entire supporting cast is so great it's hard to really single anyone out.

I think the early release date is due to the fact that HBO didn't realize what they had.

Coolidge is excellent but Jake Lacy,Murray Bartlett and surprisingly,Steve Zahn, are the ones who have really impressed me.Zahn comparing having sex with his wife to sucking down a bowl of worms made laugh out loud.Lacy is pitch perfect as a douchy, entitled white guy. Anyone have any theories about who was in the coffin?.Alexandra Daddario's character seems way too obvious. I caught up on the show last night and not sure really. I wanna say Shane's mom. I do suspect that Tanya is going to flake out on Belinda and that will cause problems.

The bad news is that the nod period closes in 10 months. HBO was clueless about this series' prospects.

Same re: Tanya and Belinda From the very beginning, I just felt Tanya would let down Belinda somehow. You just can’t trust someone as unstable as Tanya to follow through with what they say, and you definitely shouldn’t go into business with them

I don't want this show to end next week. Equally hysterical and uncomfortable from one scene to the next. Everyone is on their A game and I can't stop obsessing about the score. Read an interesting theory that the person in the casket is Mark. Due to the punch his mask won't fit like before during snorkeling and he drowns, especially after he experienced so much character growth after the last couple episodes.

Does anyone else think the girl who plays Rachel could play a young Maria Shiver?

HBO says The White Lotus ranks No. 1 among all series on HBO Max and has achieved consistent week-over-week growth for both premiere and digital audience, leading into the finale episode.

So happy! This is one of the best shows I've seen in ages and I'm up for anything White has planned.

Caught up with this over the last couple days and am quite enjoying it. Thought it was going to be like Knives Out or something at first (though it's still somewhat similar in the way it skewers everyone while still giving them zingers at the expense of others), but instead feels more PTA-esque with a bit of Fargo mixed in. I like how it uses most of its ensemble to thematize ideas of performativity and personal awakenings, but you have Coolidge's character serving as this striking contrast of someone who is just openly herself in all her messiness and instability, with no pretenses or veneer of composure.
Looking forward to the finale!

One of the best shows of 2021! Superb cast, script and direction. Jennifer Coolidge is a freakin' goddess and steals every scene. Connie Britton is memorable too. This show is like an extended play carefully crafted with unsettling developments. Every character is so masterfully conceived. Kudos to Mike White for creating such a treat for the viewers.
