This looks to be a real TEAM TV type of season and I am IN. They sure know how to get me pumped for a premier and I love the trailer opening and all those nods to Mad Max. Stoked to have it set in Australia as well! That first boot was pretty rubbish -- feel so bad for them because that was a crazy powerful advantage. Kind of loving this George vs Mitch thing going on though.

I wonder how many wetas they come across that they freak out about.

The cinematography and editing of this series is top-notch as per usual, but I really wish that the challenges weren't so brawn-focused.
I really hate that Phil was the first boot -- they seemed really fun and pleasant, and they got taken out through no fault of their own. George really is tanking his own game and I am loving the George/Mitch war brewing. I'd love it if it was put on the backburner for a few episodes, though, so we can get to know the other players on both sides of the divide.

Emmet's eventual downfall is going to be glorious. What a fucking tool.

Loved the last two episodes. I wish Janelle had been able to worm her way out of danger but honestly, not at the expense of Emmett, who is going to have the most glorious downfall. I need that man to get swapped on a tribe with George.
It was tough to see Gavin go, as it was clear he was emotionally invested, but he was easily the least interesting member of the bro-trio on Brawn. Emmett is obviously a great heel, and Simon is showing he has some chops to go forward, but I'd like him to get cut down to size a bit.
As for players I like: George, Wei, Shannon, Mitch, Hayley (preliminary winner pick), Emmett for the lulz, and now Kez. Oh, and I like Joey despite him not getting a whole lot of screen time. Big D came into his own on this one and Gerald is always good for a gif-able reaction.

Gosh, this last episode was nuts. The music was swelling hard, the drama was high... I'm normally rolling my eyes with that type of twist, but I think this is a fun take on the non-elimination episode and it couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

I don't mind the twist either, but it was definitely designed to save George though.

I also love the idea that Cara might insulate herself nicely on Brawn, and as long as George can survive a few more rounds, he might have a pathway to run deep if they want to swing numbers.

"I think I've cooked this". Macedonian Jesus doesn't do vote-splits. The good thing about the vote is that the collateral damage for the fuck up was Big D . They were at an anti-lockdown protest a week or so ago. Fuck em.

Yeah, Big D was a fun presence on the show but his antics off-screen soured me on him. Apparently, a few other players from past seasons have shown their true colors on that score and it really disappointed me. But yeah, I love that it worked out in the best way possible. Big D gave them all the soundbites for a perfect downfall and I think the other Brawnites have more potential long-term. Big D was fun when he was the swing vote but I feel like he served his narrative purpose. I still love the idea that George now has to deal with Cara fucking up the vote-split. I hope they stumble-fuck their way to F2, even though I really do feel like my winner pick Hayley is in the sweetest spot. She pulled off an epic blindside without burning her idol and she swapped to Brawn. As long as she keeps her head down, she's golden.

I'd actually love to see George and Emmett team up and go far. Would be such a fun/random pairing.

I love the idea of Emmett having to desperately keep George from the firing line but that winds up blowing up in his face down the line.

I was hoping that Simon would ferret out the move and play his idol and that Dani's hubris at wanting to own the move would wind up getting her Sandra Bullock'd out of the game herself as poetic justice. But it was hilarious seeing Simon just ignoring every single fucking clue the universe was throwing at him to play his goddamn idol. Even his bloody thong broke midway to the voting urn and he even noted it and still didn't even figure it. And he caught Baden whispering to Cara and George. Dude, better to burn an idol most people know about and sit on the one you think only your closest allies know of. Get the target off your back, my guy. Simon was a great pre-merge star and I hope to see him back. It's clear he's got great perception but he was blinded by idol greed. I think there's upside to him if he comes back in a few years wiser for his experience. I gotta say, Hayley has played all of this so perfectly, but there's something about her edit that is starting to make me think that she's getting too high-profile too quick. I think it's worked out for her well thus far, but I'm starting to get a real sneaking suspicion that she's the Luke 1.0/Harry of the season: the massive threat who goes right at the end and the quieter but still strong ally wins. That feels like Baden. We keep getting his perspective on things. It's quiet, but it's there. And the show keeps highlighting his commentary on other people's play via conversations with the likes of Hayley, and I think that Baden could wind up being something of a Shane/Pia fusion. Also, thank Macedonian Jesus that King George and Cara have made merge. All they have to do is keep quiet and not rock the boat and they're made to Final 7, easy. They've their pick of which fractured alliance they want to be a part of now.

Macedonian Jesus was working overtime this week. Even though I am burned out by all the twists, these episodes were still fantastic and King George is still reigning.

King George and Queen Hayley made the Final Three. THIS IS NOT A DRILL.
I was really sad to see Cara go, because she has been a beacon of wholesomeness throughout this game and I adored her as both a source of unintentional comedy when it came to strategy and intentional decency in a brutal game. But she is more than worthy of joining the anointed hall of r.obbed goddesses of AU Survivor.
Also, did you see the preview for that final immunity challenge? What sort of medieval dungeon did they go to for inspiration?!

An excellent finale with a more-than-worthy Final 2. I still wish George had taken it at the end, but Hayley played that jury masterfully and she earned the win.

Definitely too much "production interference" this season, but lord does this show know how to entertain! What a fantastic winner and final two.
