And there are quite a few podcasts about actors out there. Because there are quite a few salty/insecure motherfuckers on this board who absolutely hate that I keep calling this guy The GOAT 🐐, I'll kick it off with this podcast, because that's how I roll . It's called Denzel Washington Is The Greatest Actor Of All Time Period !
It's a very funny and irreverent podcast hosted by comedians W Kamau Bell and Kevin Avery that basically does what it says in the title and talks about why they view Denzel as the Greatest Actor Of All Time. The podcast ran for 122 episodes and featured episodes dedicated to reviewing all his movies, "Denzelishness ratings " (based on how much a performance of his has the attributes they'd most want or expect") and a very impressive line up of guests, including Vincent D'onofrio, Spike Lee, Ava Duvernay, Ryan Coogler and many more. Hugely entertaining while it lasted. Can be found on Apple podcasts. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/denzel-washington-is-the-greatest-actor-of-all-time-period/id935756902People can use this thread to introduce the forum to interesting podcasts dedicated to specific actors . Hoping to discover some good ones 👍

Only issue with that Denzel Washington Is The Greatest Actor of All Time podcast is that you need Stitcher Premium now to access the entire thing. I still remember when it was new and free, I really regret not taking advantage of it much more when it was free to be honest. Anyway there's a pretty good podcast about Cate Blanchett out there. sundayswithcate.com/I also recommend this Nicole Kidman one. I got into because of the Batman Forever episode. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-kidmanifesto/id1304818565

But I think I'll start on it. I've become a bit jaded by much of Cate Blanchett's work in recent years, when I was in love with much of her earlier performances . I think listening to Sundays With Cate might allow me to regain an appreciation of why I used to like her so much. So that will be on the list!

Great thread. The Big Picture Podcast by The Ringer is one I listen to. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-big-picture/id1439252196I know they primarily do podcast episodes on upcoming film releases, Oscar season stuff, and movie draft lists, but they also dedicate some of their episodes to specific actors and their careers. The one about Toshiro Mifune and his collaborations with Akira Kurosawa was an interesting one.

For me I probably wouldn't listen consistently if it wasn't one of the 4-5 guys who really figure into that "GOAT" argument - I mean you have to have serious swaggger to get into the class and every other actor is just........... an opinionNicholson, DDL, Brando, De Niro, Pacino that's about it for me ......... Pacino - shown below - winning his BAFTA - from screen legend Sean Conn ery has a podcast on him that I've enjoyed: It's called "Year of Pacino" and they do a movie of his each show - the thing is - some of his worst movies (he's got a bunch) are the very best episodes ........and some of their POV's are hilarious as they try to guess "why would he even be IN this - it can't JUST be money" .......sometimes serious guests appear too....it's entertaining....... podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-year-of-pacino/id1510038755

As you said, more generally about movies, but they do actor specific episodes as well, so it counts 👍

WTF with Marc Maron is another good one. It doesn't always specifically deal with actors, but he does interview a lot of actors and gets great insights from them about their careers and craft. He's done some excellent episodes, like this one where he interviews Nicole Kidman:www.wtfpod.com/podcast/episode-1191-nicole-kidmanHe's done episodes dedicated to Cate Blanchett, Kate Winslet, Eric Bana, Ellen Burstyn, Hugh Grant, Eddie Murphy and many, many more .
