Nicole Kidman, "Big Little Lies" (S1 and S2) Cate Blanchett, "Mrs. America" Kate Winslet, "Mare of Easttown"
For me: Winslet > Kidman (her peaks in S1 probaly match what Winslet achieved, though) >>> Blanchett

I think there is a TV site for this. Any way, I've only seen kidman.- So I couldn't judge, specially because Kidman in Season One was faaaar superior of Kidman of Season 2.-

1 Blanchett 2 Winslet 3 Kidman
All are major performances - I've said on here a lot that Mrs. America is a masterclass of just physical acting alone - posture, how she uses her hands - when she points forward when saying "take our country BACK" (and doesn't tip it off earlier) - how she walks and makes eye contact - how her whole body signifies what she wants or works at cross-purposes with what she wants revealed to us and other characters.
Plus it's a historic performance I think because she's a genuine villain yet also heroic - she's actually a female anti-hero.........which you rarely see a woman do ........ and when you do see it, usually it's cartoonish.

Three performances that rank amongst the best of their respective careers. Difficult to rank.
1. Kidman - if her performance in S2 pales at all in comparison to the first, it's only because her towering work in S1 is pretty much impossible to match. Her arc felt so perfect and complete, and she played every facet of it so heartbreakingly, inspiringly well - the defiance that she was not a victim, the confused fear of realising she was, laughing everything off before crumbling into tears - that it truly hasn't left me since I first saw it several years ago. Her S2 work might be bested by the other two ladies, but it's still powerful work that continues exploring darker aspects of the characters in a way only Kidman can.
2. Winslet - the more I reflect on it, the more I think this is unquestionably Winslet's best work to date, and feels like it could be a career-defining role. She's just so convincing at every turn, from the technicalities of the accent to the more internal nuances of her heavy, weary eyes as she aggressively vapes - with two conflicting energy levels that seems to perfect capture the essence of the character in one motion. She was fierce, funny and fragile - amazing work.
3. Blanchett - quite easily third I think, but it's still very strong work. Like Winslet, this feels like a total embodiment of a performance, and every small detail feels perfectly attuned to the what we know about Phyllis Schlafly. It feels like a slightly less personal work than the other two, so it didn't quite have the same impact for me, but it's still another strong addition to her impeccable catalogue.

1. Blanchett - brilliant in every way
*pause*
2. Winslet - very solid
*takes out the trash, goes for a long stroll, stares at walls*
3. Kidman - dull perf and the least convincing of the cast.... the writing gives that character the show, and tanks of complexity, but the perf shows hardly any of it. Kidman offers exhales - she doesn't add much else besides showing up to set.
