Why Kate Hudson is still Working in Big Hollywood Films?

4 Razzie nominations including one win for Sia's music. is this movie that bad?

I mean in Big Hollywood Films.-

What big Hollywood films exactly? Being a part of a large ensemble of "Knives Out 2" or thankless wife part in "Deepwater Horizon", starring Kurt? Or is "Music" really a big Hollywood picture? Most of her stardom lies in studio romantic comedies because they actually do make money. "Bride Wars" and "You, Me and Dupree" were no big flops or anything. They all did enough business. It's not like she's leading some major films right now.

She couldn't use the goodwill she has from "Almost Famous" to become a bigger star, it's true. Her prestige film attempts failed and since "How To Lose a Guy in Ten Days" was a big hit, she spent rest of her career with doing mostly basic rom-coms but she has enough of star quality. Talent is definitely there, somewhat diverse also (comparing "Skeleton Key" to "Dr. T & the Women"). Then she's charming, charismatic and gorgeous looking. Nepotism might play a part too but she's usually an underrated actress with an appealing screen presence.

Is Almost Famous a classic?
I have my doubts,because wasn't that big hit at the box office, didn't help any of the stars (except Hudson,  Mc Dormand and Paquin were Oscar winners actress at the time, is another cathegory) and the director Cameron Crowe, well he isn't David Fincher, that after The Fight Club, that wasn't a hit at the Box Office, the he trully become  praised by critics and audiences, was in a severe decline after almost famous. He had luckwarms reviews in Vainilla Sky (despite performed descently at box office) and critical and financial flops in his next few films until now (Elizabeth Town, We Bought a Zoo, Aloha).- 


Don't get me wrong is a great movie with a great cast, but a classic? 

Not only is it among my personal most overrated movies ever made ...........a particularly limp Rock and Roll movie which is kind of my area of expertise yanno........I've said this a lot - little Cameron Crowe got to follow Zep around and THAT'S the movie he came up with? Don't even get me started on Cameron Crowe because I once called Robert Zemeckis "middlebrow" on MAR (he obviously is) and people were like "Wah, wah, wah you can't say that, he made Contact" or some bullsh it - that's not what I said - I said he's middlebrow - you can be middlebrow and make Contact ............they aren't mutually exclusive ........and he's Kieslowski compared to Crowe, ok?

What was my point?

Oh right, Crowe re-imagined his exciting, fascinating, one in a billion life as a teen as exactly the same as boring kid in Bumblefnck, Indiana.............I never got anything about Kate Hudson ............she can't act, her ex-husbands band sucked, I never liked her Mom either, I was never attracted to Kate Hudson (or her Mom) ......I don't think she's that hot ......she looked like a porn star who wasn't even one of the better looking porn stars of the 2005- era which was not a particularly pretty porn star era - I've researched this entire era, ok?.........I won't list the porn stars name but look it up people 

The best thing about her is her stepdad ........now everybody's entitled to the own opinion of course but pacinoyes feels sometimes you have to go scorched Earth on here yanno.......... respectfully dissenting on everything ftw

Yep I remember Kurt Russell Disney films in my childhood, he is the king for making the transition from kid to granpa, very charismatic, Kurt and Dennis Quaid are probably the most underated actors in Hollywood.-

Yep, I know, the question, is that I thought that was a little forgotten, so I thought is more in the cathegory of Forgotten Gem than a Classic. Even when definitive isn't a forgotten Gem. Because is still remember, and even when it wasn't a success at box office, wasn't a bomb,or  a film that were watched by 5 cinephiles.-

So the next Question,  if a Forgotten Gem could be a Classic? Or is the opposite?

Because she's hot and talented.

Considering  you are the one bringing  up an old ass  conversation  about Zemeckis  that must  be at least  2 years old (?) because  several  people  on that thread called out your description  of him as moronic, I'd say the person  most  "Triggered" here is you   . That shit must have burned your soul for you  to still be randomly  going on about it.

But keep going bro...I feel  like we are all dying  to hear again  how  the Back  To  The Future  trilogy  is the work of a "middlebrow  hack ". This should be fun

Oh this looks like the 90s, one thing is make art and other craft,  a guy who can make great commercial films, and other totally diferent is an auteur even in commercial films like Tarantino or Spielberg.-

I don't think Zemekis or Ron Howard (I usually confuse both) or Cameron Crowe are auteurs.-

Any way, this is about Kate Hudson, I guess her younger step brother is the talent of the family.-

Yeah, not to derail the conversation in general, but even if you don't like Zemeckis or his cinema, calling him a hack is a bit "unfair" or "complicated". Even if I think he's lost the plot over the years, the dude has done a lot for movies in general, that it's hard to not look as anything but a significant figure in the industry.
