Women's Semi matches today - everyone looking for Barty (1) vs. Sabalenka (2) but I'm pulling for Karolína Plíšková to pull an upset because of that sexy thigh tattoo and usually tattoos are a turn-off but there's something about that one that works.....she's actually cuter off the court when she lets her hair down.......what was my point?

Barty & Plíšková advance........sexy tattoo girl should have won this in straight sets buts she blew all her break points in the first......she better tighten that up because Barty will make you pay........still nice win for her and when she broke in the 2nd set, she never looked back

Pliskova vs Sabalenka was a great match and, actually, a great grass court match as well, which is surprising because most matches I've seen this tournament felt more like clay court matches than anything else.

I'm going to (no jinx) call Matteo Berrettini (7) over Federer-slayer Hubert Hurkacz (14) Berrettini is up 2 sets and won the 2nd set 6-0 ........barring an injury or disaster - he's our first male finalist ......

I like Djokovic and I do kinda want him to get his 21st by years end, but I would kinda love a Berrettini v Shapovalov final. It could be a cracker. Berrettini v Djokovic does have potential to be good for sure, but it also has the potential to be another case of Djokovic steamrolling. I don't see pressure becoming a thing for Djokovic when it comes to equaling and breaking this record. He's going to have to have a bad day or someone else is going to have to have their best day while he has a subpar one.
Of course all that waffle is on the assumption Berrettini wins today, which is a safe assumption (for now).

Great game from Berrettini today, he was just too good for Hurkacz to compete with, although I think he does have a glaring weakness in his game, the backhand, and will have trouble in the final if his opponent manages to consistently target it.
Also, I really don't know how Djokovic managed to win that first set. He's playing some terrible tennis, but Shapovalov made some horrible errors on crucial points.

Djoko not playing dominantly (at all) but up 2 sets now so it "looks" (no jinx) like Berrettini/Djoko on Sunday.......he better focus though....... Random diss - if he didn't hit that chick in the throat at the US Open and if they played Wimbledon last year - he'd be going for his 22nd Grand Slam ........you can't of course say that, you have to judge them on what they actually did ...............but you know it "Rafa"

Djokovic raised his level in the third set and won it easier than the scoreline suggests, but, overall, it wasn't a good showing. But that also shows how far above the rest Djokovic is right now. If he can win a Grand Slam semi quite easily in three sets playing only at 30%, then I don't see how he can be stopped right now. And he'll probably play much much better in the final.

The women's final was pretty disappointing quality wise to be honest. It was pretty competitive as a whole, but in the first two sets both were very nervous and erratic, which resulted in some pretty ugly tennis. Third set was much better from both and gave us some high quality points, but Barty pulled through quite deservingly in the end to win her second Grand Slam.

First set to Berrettini in a tie-break ........Djoko looking sad like he wants the crowd to hug him or something .......let's go Choke-ovich ........he was up 5-2

Low quality first set. Djokovic bringing his semifinal level here, but still could have won the set. Berrettini was bad in the first few games, but gradually found confidence in his shots and managed to take this first set. It seems that Djokovic needs to raise his level to win this.

2nd set was much better from Djokovic. Dominated most of the games, but when up 5 - 1 it felt like he was about to choke again. Eventually he kept his cool and won the set, deservingly, 6 - 4. But, his performance has been all over he place so far, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde. Berrettini quite solid, but needs to do more if he wants to win this, unless he expects another gift from his opponent, which doesn't seem very likely right now.

GOAT up 2 sets to one - Oh so much to say........ Tom Cruise in the crowd looking like someone I'd like to smack .....Djoko encouraging the crowd.....they still hate him kinda ........ Berrettini I think is out-skilled here because even though the games are close - you get the feeling that Djoko could play an entirely different way if he "had" to - to shake things up.......Berrettini serves big and stands there - misses a lot of first serves too On the other hand if this goes 5 sets Berrettini would be in it and he is fired up.......Djoko essentially allowing Berrettini to make unforced errors - he isn't doing much offensive .......except encouraging the crowd

Djokovic takes the third set, but the level of tennis on display here is more suited for an ITF 100 tournament than a Wimbledon final. Apart from a few great points scattered here and there this has been a complete mugfest.

Poor match, but strong by Djokovic to get it done in the end. When is this new generation gonna take the final step? Djokovic clearly was there for the taking today.

Djokovic decided to raise his level in the 4th set. That also woke Berrettini from his slumber and we finally saw some quality tennis. But in the end Djokovic proved once again that he is just too good for his competition and deservingly won his 20th Grand Slam title.

Like I've said a lot before what we're witnessing is a historic feat - just 10 months ago he was openly mocked for what happened @ the US Open and Nadal - a lesser player tbh, admit it - was celebrated......it's an amazing silencing of his critics - not sure what else to compare it to in sports - I guess Brady last year maybe but even that's not right? At this point Djoko is in his Alexander the Great phase of his astonishing career the "He wept because he had no more worlds to conquer" - really the only threat he has is himself .......we'll see how he does in the Olympics in particular..........3 / 5 of the way to the Golden Slam for the GOAT.....

Djoke is sensational, and I've always loved him. He's going to be considered the GOAT, and it won't be undeserved, but Fed around 2006 is my favorite player of all time, and was a whole different beast from anything I've seen in terms of flawless movement and aggressivity. Djokovic is the most mentally tough player of all time, along with the best all-around game. That's why this is happening. The other reason is the younger generation are mental losers for the most part. Zverev, Shapovolov, Ttitsipas, Felix in Canada, etc. are all great talents, but damn if this younger generation can't put their foot on the pedal when it matters most. I'm appreciating Cilic's slam more these days.

"My plan was always to go to the Olympic Games, but right now I’m a little bit divided. It’s kind of 50-50 because of what I’ve heard in the last couple days.”
Specifically, Djokovic said he was disappointed that spectators won’t be allowed to attend events and that key parts of his team, such as the person who strings his racquets, won’t be allowed to enter Japan because of limits on how many people can accompany an athlete at these Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
