Anyone else a fan of this awesome Irish actor? He's going to be in A Quiet Place Part 2 (which comes out in theaters on May28th) and I can't fucking wait! I really hope its a juicy/pivotal role. Would hate for his talent to go to waste. He may be sorta short in height & scrawny looking but he has such a commanding screen presence in pretty much everything I've seen him in. Murphy also has a very unique look to him. He was so badass in Peaky Blinders as the leader of the gang. Probably my favorite performance out of his entire filmography. And he has a bunch of good to great performances in film . Very versatile actor all around. Kudos to Christopher Nolan for casting him as Dr. Jonathan Crane / Scarecrow. Such a creepy / underrated role. Also loved his performances in 28 Days Later, Sunshine and The Wind that Shakes the Barley etc etc. Anyways, feel free to post your favorite films/performances by Cillian Murphy. Would love to hear your thoughts on this dude. I look forward to his future projects.

I'm a fan.
I always thought he'd be a big star by now, but his career just never seemed to rocket like it could have considering he is a rather talented actor. He had a hell of a 2005 too, being Oscar worthy in Breakfast on Pluto and offering top class villainy in Red Eye and Batman Begins. His Scarecrow is still the best batman villain not played by Michelle Pfeiffer.

You're entitled to have an opinion as unpopular as it may be.Thank you for your honesty. That being said , I still think Ledger >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Murphy

When I refer to the Caped Crusader, I always call him "The Batman" in the exact same cadence and tone as Murphy says it.

I hadn't realized he has worked with all these great directors... Very strong collaborations on his cv, even though he's still young.

His film career isn't nearly what it should be (I quite like The Wind that Shakes the Barley and Sunshine though), but his Tommy Shelby on Peaky Blinders is an all-time level performance. I genuinely think I might prefer it to any leading TV performance besides maybe Gandolfini on The Sopranos. It's like they transposed Michael Corleone to another context, but made him cooler as well as more humane.

Feel like Nolan dropped the ball by not casting him in either Branagh's or Pattinson's role in Tenet (though I did like RPatts)... here's hoping he gets a nice juicy one in the next Nolan adventure.
