Man is gonna be around for a while and he'll go the way all kind and decent people will too........ deadline.com/2021/08/better-call-saul-bob-odenkirk-updates-health-status-doing-great-1234810893/ Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk took to Twitter late on Friday to update fans on his health.
The 58-year-old actor, who plays grifter lawyer Jimmy McGill on the Breaking Bad spinoff, is on the mend.
“I am doing great. I’ve had my very own “It’s a Wonderful Life” week of people insisting I make the world slightly better,” Odenkirk tweeted to nearly 800,000 followers.

I hope to hell this health scare spooked people enough to remember that Bob Odenkirk has been giving the best lead performance on TV for years and he's still not won an Emmy for it.

Yeah, the fact that him or Rhea didn't even get nominated much less win for last season was especially egregious and head scratching. Hope they clean up the awards for the final season if the show nails it.

You just know Rhea is about to have some insanely baity stuff in the wings. I mean, the entire show has been leading up to the moral destruction of Kim Wexler as much as it has been Jimmy's transition to Saul.

I don't think this question spoils anything since fans of the show have been pondering it since Season 1. You think Kim dies at the end or survives?

I think she survives, because I think her dying wouldn't jibe with what we know about Jimmy/Saul at the time of Breaking Bad. I think that the show is setting her up that she suffers a career annihilation, either self-inflicted or collateral damage of Jimmy's actions. There are context clues peppered throughout Breaking Bad that Saul refers to an "ex-wife" and his relationship with his secretary Francesca that leads me to think that there is an irreparable rift between Jimmy and Kim. And I feel like the show's post- Breaking Bad scene with Jimmy-as-Gene will end with him atoning for his actions for her. I don't know precisely how, but I think that we're not going to see violence as a means to an end the way it was with Walt and Jesse.

I can definitely see that and it would be the opposite of how Breaking Bad ended. Better Call Saul having a "quieter" ending without violence would be good and a way to differentiate itself from Breaking Bad since a lot of fans would probably expect a violent end to the show.

I think she's the one who meets/uses Forster's character first, which in turn gives Jimmy the connection he later gives to both Jesse and Walt (and obviously himself too).

That’s interesting..and makes total sense. Her career and reputation going down the drain and a threat on her life causes Jimmy and her to use the Forster character. Can’t wait for the final season!

Notes from the final season premiere:
- It was funny thinking about how the AC unit in my old apartment would have fallen with a hell of a lot less effort than what Nacho had to do in that motel room.
- I would watch a whole show of just Saul and Kim trolling Howard.

Interesting that the two main cast members this show has killed off so far both die by suicide. Just an observation. Great start to the season so far.

Great, tense episode. Didn't expect Nacho to die so soon though... was sort of hoping for a final confrontation between him and Lalo. That phone call between him and his dad definitely felt like some kind of emotional closure, so I suppose it wasn't surprising when it actually happened.

I pray to God Bryan and Aaron don't show up until Part 2 so Mando can hopefully get a guest nod.
