My big one is Mulligan. I’m trying to prepare myself for her loss so it won’t sting and then if she wins it will hit bigger for me.
Others: The Father for Adapted Screenplay and Editing PYW for Original Screenplay and BP (I know it’s a pipe dream but I’ll wish for it regardless). Mank for Cinematography and Production Design Pinocchio for Hair & Makeup Husavik for Best Song

Actress: Carey Mulligan Actor: Anthony Hopkins Adapted Screenplay: The Father Original Screenplay: Promising Young Woman Editing: The Father Best Song: Húsavík. Purely for sentimental given how Húsavík is an hour away from me and I don't like the other nominees. But I definitely prefer Volcano Man and Lion of Love from the same film. Best Picture: I'd be delighted if either Promising Young Woman, Judas and the Black Messiah, The Father or Minari would upset here.
No wins for Trial of Chicago 7, Viola Davis or Glenn Close.

Hopkins, anyone but Davis in Lead Actress, The Father in Adapted Screenplay, Wolfwalkers for Animated (never gonna happen but a guy can dream) and Pinocchio in Makeup. Also for Trial to get blanked.

Hopkins obviously ......if he wins though, I'd be shocked, need to be slapped and doused with cold water after passing out, then pass out again, get up, get drunk(er), tear off my clothes, set myself on fire and then kiss all my neighbors on the lips and my neighbors are not an attractive bunch and there's also restraining orders and I'm sure lawsuits because of the nakedness and fire damage

- Snoozemadland somehow losing BP. Don't care to what.
- Hopkins. Not as gaga about the performance on others on here, but he's better than Boseman.
- Viola Davis winning.

That Sodie gets it down to a tight 90, 120 tops. (If other people can have pipe dream hopes, so can I!)

Forgot about Wolfwalkers. I know it's a long shot but it'd be epic if it manages a win over Soul.

Actress: Mulligan (I haven't seen ADay) Actor: Hopkins (I haven't seen Riz Ahmed, I will be happy with his win, because the reviews are great) supporting actress: The Minari grandma Song: Io Si Laura Pausini and Warren(after several looses, I hope is her time) Costumes: Emma Documentary: El Top or My friend the octopus. Just not Crip Campament Animated. Wolfwakers, I haven't seen, but the secrets of the Kells was magical, and I'm tired of the Disney Pixars films.-
And most of all. A trully deserved inmemoriam segment, because the last years, were made at the image and likeness of some oscar winners/nomenees.-

That Sodie gets it down to a tight 90, 120 tops. (If other people can have pipe dream hopes, so can I!) This is definitely my dream. I’m just over pandemic award shows even though I know they have to do all those precautionary things, but it’s just not as fun to watch and even before the pandemic it was difficult finding an awards show that wasn’t overlong and overproduced even if some parts of it were entertaining. The SAG awards really spoiled me this year. I need all my award shows to be that short now. No reason that the Independent Spirit Awards were two hours this year especially when they had the nerve to include a bunch of unfunny skits, but montage a lot of the technical winners. It could have been 90 minutes and still gave all the winners time to properly speak had they cut out all the other stuff and just focused on the awards part.
