Best Actor: I'm probably one of the biggest fans of Hugh Jackman's performance in Bad Education here and he was my winner until I saw the astonishing Anthony Hopkins in The Father. Wow! Also loved Adarsh Gourav in The White Tiger. Best Actress:This is so tough already and I haven't even seen Nomadland (although I'm not quite interested 🙈). I have Aubrey Plaza, Hayley Bennet, Vanessa Kirby and Carey Mulligan all of them neck to neck and I genuinely don't know who's my winner. Maybe Bennet for Swallow because hers was a more difficult character and film to sell. LOVED Viola Davis' badass Ma as well. Best Supporting Actor:I felt this was a weaker year for this category compared to the other three but Brian Dennehy in Driveways is so heartbreaking. Reminded me of Hopkins for some reason before I even saw The Father. The future oscar winner Kaluuya's powerful performance would be my runner up here. Best Supporting Actress:Hands down, Maria Bakalova's bold, no holds barred portrayal of Tutar. She's such a dynamite in Borat. I hope she wins the oscar. Still need to see Minari though. Olivia Colman broke my heart in The Father and is my runner up in the category. Love her so much. But not in The Crown
