Take This Waltz reunion! Sarah Silverman's Jewish, right? Make her an aunt or something.

Does anyone know what happened to The Kidnapping of Edgardo Mortara? Is it still getting made or not?

Last I heard he couldn't find the right kid, I think it's gone the way of Robopocalypse.

It says he'll be playing the role of Spielberg's father. Oscar nom incoming. Between this and The Batman, looks like it'll be a big year for Dano.

Yeah, um, Paul Dano. He completes that trifecta of oddly unappealing actors (Micheal Pitt and Michael Cera being his brethren) who seemed to get cast in a lot of things in the 2000's. And nobody could quite explain why.
Not saying he can't act, but just never got his appeal. Like, at all.

Michael Pitt is appealing though, just a knucklehead. I loved him as Jimmy on Boardwalk, and like him in stuff like The Dreamers, Murder by Numbers, Rob the Mob, Hannibal (TV), etc. I agree with you about Dano and Cera though.

Dano is one of the most versatile actors of his generation, so I'm interested whatever he does.

With the news that John Williams is scoring Indy 5, I really hope he ends up scoring this film too. Hard to imagine anyone else taking it on tbh.

He'll be 90 years old next year, God willing. This would be one of the sweeter projects to round out their collab, whether it's the last or among the last. Williams is a guy who's just gonna have to be pried away from the orchestra, same as Spielberg with the cameras.
Can't believe what a prolific 2010s he ended up having...it was nice enough to hear him do Tintin and War Horse around his 80th.

They have chosen The Fabelmans as the title.
I feel like they missed a trick by not calling it "The Fantastic Fabelmans."

Well... that's a bit boring. Will be willing "I'll Be Home" into existence through interdimensional portals.

I'm sort of coming around on the title, which I was a little disappointed with at first because, as Jango said, it seems a bit boring at first glance. But the Jewish sounding name already makes the film's story feel specific in a way that "I'll Be Home" doesn't quite get across. Plus, it seems like a deliberate pun on the word "fable," which might be communicating how the film will be allegorical in some way....

I just find "I'll Be Home" to be a perfect potential title for a movie and am very moved by it even without context. Even better for me - I'll just steal it for my own movie! Which I'm gonna make....someday.... .......

Just noticed with both of those casting announcements that the film is apparently untitled again?

Just noticed with both of those casting announcements that the film is apparently untitled again? Maybe "The Fabelmans" is a working title? No official title announcement has been made so far.
