I'd like to see a giant collection a la the Godzilla or Ingmar Bergman box sets for the early Universal Horror films featuring pretty much everything from '23's Hunchback of Notre Dame to '57's Incredible Shrinking Man.
Aguirre: The Wrath of God is another that I'm surprised isn't already included with Criterion.

By the Law (1926) - ridiculous this doesn't have a nice remastered release....could put together a good collection of essays and stuff, a one package film school. The Heartbreak Kid (1972) - Criterion and their legendary fans could pool resources and find/save the rights from big pharma who have no business being in the movie business. (also, to whoever is heroically Lupining 'em, save Sleuth too). Elaine May still around for extras (deserves a doc of her own).

A lot.........but....... Francisca (1981) - This has a fine DVD but you could do so much more - putting the film in historical content with a ton of extras........I mean you could do a ton just on the lighting alone Still underseen and even movie buffs lack the tools to process the movie fully if they have seen it. It's a staggering and important movie.....

Actually aside from the gorgeous looking film presentation itself - this movie is missing almost ANY extras - and this movie is made for extras........this is like perfect for Criterion to get and expand..........but use the same exact print of the film

They've done The Cloud-Capped Star, but it'd be nice if Criterion released the other two parts of Ghatak's partition trilogy, The Golden Thread and the near-impossible for me to find E-Flat.
Maybe some earlier silent films - the serials Les Vampires, Judex, and Fantomas from Louis Feuillade or Abel Gance's I Accuse, The Wheel, or Napoleon.

Both the Goopy Bagha films badly need to be properly restored. I hope Criterion gets the rights to them and possibly the two Feluda films someday.
