3 of the 4 high profile police brutality cases from 2020 - the dismissal of charges in Breonna Taylor's death (related to her death at least), the police charges dismissed in the Jacob Blake case and this case, Daniel Prude. The 4th case, the biggest one - George Floyd - starts in 2 weeks with Derek Chauvin's trial - just one of the cases there anyway - starts March 8th. Police officers will not face charges in the death of Daniel Prude, a Black man pinned to the ground last year while handcuffed, hooded and in the throes of a mental health crisis.

James Blake files excessive force lawsuit, today (Officer) Sheskey and two other Kenosha officers were trying to arrest Blake on an outstanding warrant when a pocket knife fell from his pants during a scuffle. Blake said he picked it up before heading to a vehicle to drive away with two of his children in the back seat. He said he was prepared to surrender once he put the knife in the vehicle.
Sheskey told investigators that he feared for his own safety so he opened fire. A Wisconsin prosecutor declined to file criminal charges against Sheskey, concluding he couldn't disprove the officer's contention that he acted in self-defense because he thought the man would stab him. www.cbsnews.com/news/jacob-blake-lawsuit-excessive-force-rusten-sheskey-kenosha-officer/
