Members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will cast ballots for Oscar nominations from January 5 through January 12, 2018, with nominations revealed on Tuesday, January 23, the Academy announced on Tuesday.
Final voting will take place between February 20 and 27, and the 90th Academy Awards will be held on Sunday, March 4.
The date of the Oscar show was previously announced, but the Academy has now filled in the rest of the Academy Awards timetable. The schedule also includes the Governors Awards (November 11), the Oscar Nominees Luncheon (February 5), the Sci-Tech Awards (February 10) and the Oscar Concert (February 28), an event that is returning to the calendar after not being held this year.
The newly announced timetable is similar to this year’s Oscar schedule, with a slight change because the Oscar show has been moved from the last Sunday in February to the first Sunday in March to avoid conflicts with the Winter Olympics’ closing ceremony. That move happens every four years.
The Academy also announced the date for the following three Oscars ceremonies, all of which will take place on the final Sunday in February: February 24, 2019; February 23, 2020; and February 28, 2021.
AMPAS has not announced producers for the 90th Oscars — but this year’s producers, Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd, are reported to be in negotiations to tackle that job once more.
