The Atlantic - What Does This Man Know That Other Democrats Don’t?Really good article from The Atlantic - he's just been named Chair of the Democratic Governors' Association (DGA). He's very beloved in North Carolina and could help make Harris more palatable to "Middle America." What do you think?

I think Dems would be well advised not simply to choose Kamala Harris as their candidate, but make primaries as well. I mean a lot can change in four years and we will see how polls will be in 2 or 3 years, but as of now even with the self sabotage of the GOP I don't see Harris winning.

Yeah, you're wrong (and I speak that as someone who's not American, so not a Democrat by any chance)- vaccination becoming widespread and things begin to re-opening means the next few years will see the US, and much of the world, see a post-COVID economic boom that will benefit whoever is in charge, in the US' case Democrats.
Moreover, there's a decent chance the GOP will either be only the 3rd biggest party, with Trump forming a new one and most of the members joining, or it will be completely split, because Trumpian supporters won't support a more moderate figure and vice-versa.
And also with bans from social media, distance from power, and some corporate donors not interested in supporting people who voted against vote certification means Trump, and whoever he chooses to support, will struggle to attract new voters, while having more difficult to keep current ones. Particularly if Kamala Harris is the nominee and they try to appeal to sexism and/or racism to win, which they probably will.

Yep there are stupid Trump supporters that wants to create a new party, maybe Trump himself is thinking about that. WRONG IDEA!!! I don't like Dick Chaney, but none should doubt the devotion of his daughter Liz Chaney for the Republican Party.- Curious Liz Chaney the now pretty lovely wise senator girl of the Republican party by the media, was the most hated women LAST YEAR!!! I hope this is just a mise en scène. Republican party fracture in two,is bad for America.-

I'm also not an American.
What you point at is definitely a possible scenario. And yes, the terrible happenings at January the 6th should bring back a some of the more modest republicans back to reason and sanity. But while Biden gladly won the election with more than 70 millions still voting for Trump I have really lost faith in many people. This race was much closer than it should have been. And this despite Biden being a candidate that (of course that's only my feeling and no fact) likely appeals more to some of the (again more central) republican base than Harris. Even among those voters there are many that won't vote for Harris, simply because she is black and a woman.
And with folk having such short memories nowadays and still many of them just caring about themselves the terroristic attack (cause per definition this really was it) of January the 6th might even not play the big role it should.
As I stated before there is much time left and maybe January the 6th really proves as a turning point that brings many republican voters to abandon their party. But as of now that's not certain.
