I like Larrain and I like K-Stew, but I'm kinda of tired of all the Diana movies and shows and whatnot.

Wow, she looks great! I too am mostly uncertain about whether she'll pull off the accent, but on all other counts I have faith that Stewart will give us a really nice - and unique - portrayal of Diana.
And Greenwood?! Fuck yes.

I mean, even if it's a failure, I'm sure it'll be a mesmerizing one on Larrain's watch.

The timing couldn't be worse. Everything K-Stew does is going to be measured against the insanely high bar set by Emma Corrin

I don't think she's right for this, for obvious reasons, but that look is great and on point. Johnny Greenwood is always a plus as well.

I agree with pacinoyes on KStew not likely to pull off what Portman did, but nonetheless looking forward to this, given the director and the crew he has chosen.

Larraín gonna have an interesting year with this and Lisey's Story both set for release. This could be good, but worrying to me is Steven Knight who used to be a sharper writer but now seems like he churns scripts out as fast as he can chuck.

Honestly don't get the casting choice of Kristen Stewart. She straight up can't act her way out of a paperbag.

Sean Harris and Sally Hawkins have been cast by the way. I guess Harris will be Charles, I wonder who Hawkins will play.

I forgot to add that Timothy Spall is in this too.

Tagging iheartamyadams Maybe she can win this year. I know it’s way early, but I think within the battle of really famous people either she or Ana de Armas versus Lady Gaga, who I put in the playing someone infamous category. (I probably have too much faith in Gaga, but Italy winning Eurovision and the Euro renewed my faith in HoG because it’s still July, and I can still dream lol).

Could be the worst movie of the year or another Jackie which was great. Larrain is a hit or miss

Really curious to see this but also lowkey apprehensive. It'll be interesting to see if Emma Corrin has in fact ruined all other Dianas for me

Yeah, people likening this to a psychological horror is actually getting me excited. It's the perfect way to approach this story. You could absolutely envision the Diana story as something out of a Polanski film, and it sounds like that's how Larrain is tackling this.
