Huge to say that before we even get to the impeachment trial. He's putting these bitches on notice. Besides, FBI probably showed him some things and he doesn't want to get caught in the crossfire. People are leaking left and right now.

Oh look, another feckless attempt by the Republican establishment to distance themselves away from the toxicity of Trumpism, despite enabling that shit for the last four years and reaping the benefits of sweeping judicial appointments that are going to clog the system for decades to come.

Voted nay in impeachment. Coward to the end... The funniest part being that the closest thing those pair of Lionel Hutz's made to an argument was that you can't impeach anyone but THE president, and the only reason that's an issue is because that Mason Verger looking sleaze refused to allow this to go ahead prior to Jan 20th

How do you go from a party that told Nixon to pack your shit and go. To...Well, I don't know if Trump told them to storm the Capitol even though everybody and their grandma told the world, ummm yeah... he did and hmmmm, and on that tape, he wasn't asking them to find 11k votes to overturn the election.

I told y'all to be worried when only 10 GOP Reps in the House voted for impeachment. Even if McConnell truly wanted to impeach, the even uglier reality is that it's not politically viable to do so. We know he has no values or spine and that above all he's a ruthless political operator so when the vast majority of his party opposes something, he's not going to jump in front of that train.
The impeachment died the day of that House vote, and was a dead horse beaten when those 10 faced immediate backlash. As much as I hate McConnell this is a case of me hating the game more than the player because what scares me more is that Republicans are incentivized by radicalized voters (that they radicalized) into turning a blind eye to insurrection. We've reached a point where punishing a violent insurrectionist is political suicide for lawmakers in the Republican Party and that says a lot about who they've become, where they're going, and who their voters are.

To convict Trump would require of folks like Mitch, Cruz, and Hawley the one thing they don’t have. A soul.
