...from actors who you (maybe) don't necessarily expect to show some nice or hilarious or whatever dance moves ? So please no Astaire/Kelly here.
Recently watched Drunk which I liked a lot as well as Mads in it, that's where the idea for the thread comes from actually. Let's start with Mr Bean Marcello Mastroianni from Le Notti Bianche that has been mentionned quite a few times on here in the past.

Saving the best for last ! Pacino definitely belongs here tho, he has "it" to me. The Tango from Scent of a Woman would obviously deserve a mention as well. Leo in an already iconic gif

Well, it wasn't a movie, so perhaps it's a cheat, but it was pleasant surpruse to find Christopher Walken doing this:

I'm sure if SeanJoyce came here he will post something similar from Sam Rockwell and his incredible "Charleston" move which I learned for fun because of him.

I can't say I'm too familiar with Indian dances, but this one from Satyajit Ray's The Music Room is pretty impressive.

People love it when I talk about overrated or underrated actors (yes you do ) but only 1 is both of those things at the same time - overrated at the very highest level on film but who is closer to the very highest level across Stage/TV/Film - recent birthday boy, Robert Duvall. That dichotomy goes into his one "dance movie" too - Assassination Tango which isn't good and no one saw it anyway.......but his dancing of the Tango, which is very important to him irl and his Argentinian wife (Luciana Pedraza) is fantastic and personal and meaningful to the plot too ..........and Pedraza is the one he's dancing with too in the film (see below).

One of the greatest scenes in film history (from his best or 2nd best movie too) - starts at :56 - the greatest use of a pop song ever as well and the dance itself is symbolic of the innocence of the song and a theme of the film at this point - it's the last time in the movie that anything is stable, safe, or innocent.
Works on so many levels for such a simple scene that is really not so simple.........at all.

Mastroianni, Pacino, Brando in this thread...........arguably the 3 GOAT actors across world cinema and a quote that actually sums up anyone who can stake a claim as "the GOAT".....and in Brando's case maybe the number 1 actor ever....... here in his single greatest performance imo and it could be argued ........in English, ever.

It's staggering how many dance scenes he has...... Even his very first movie role in Me Natalie! And though you got a dozen great mentions, you forgot Scarecrow with the powdered-sugar-shimmy and the whole astronaut suit scene !! Pitch for video compilation: Open with "Dance for me, Salome--" and then all of Al's dance scenes. Easy, automatic masterpiece.

Some great soul put up half the scene (yes, there's more) - themoviesinner shout out. This is instant joy for Dafoe-fans. Another that comes to mind - Toshiro Mifune , Drunken Angel

Not just one of my favorite dance scenes, but also one of my favorite random musical numbers in a film period. Hysterical!

The dance routine from Friends is an iconic one whether you like the series or not.
And obviously the outrageous dance scene in The Favourite.

Definitely one of my favorites dance's scene in a non-musical film, love it. This is one of the reasons Malcolm X is such a great Epic film, so many totally different kind of scenes, like this one, then a gangsters scene, Adventure scene, Political, Travel, Romance, etc...and so on and on... all crafted incredibly well. Spike and his crews did a hell of a job.
