1. Memento 2. The Prestige 3. Tenet 4. The Dark Knight Rises 5. Inception 6. The Dark Knight 7. Batman Begins 8. Interstellar 9. Following 10. Dunkirk 11. Insomnia Thoughts on Tenet? - It's fast, loud, flashy. Think Inception mixed with The Dark Knight Rises. Or a Bond film with sci-fi. Lesser references: Full Metal Jacket; 2001: A Space Odyssey; Three Kings - Exposition is what it needs to be. I've seen people complaining about there being both too much and too little. - Sound mixing is a point of issue, but what's the bet it gets nommed for sound? And I believe it's intentional. - An apoplectic Branagh is the Bond villain of your nightmares. He readily serves up the ham, and Debicki gets caught up in it. Nevertheless, there's a scene in which he is truly frightening... and it's not the omitted scene for UK release. - ATJ gets to play more than expected. Much more. - As with Kubrick, it may not make an impression if you assimilate it on a superficial level. There’s symbolism, analogues, prophecies. The film acts as one big metaphor for the last bastion (Nolan himself) against indefatigable foes in digital video and streaming services.

Exposition is absolutely necessary in films like Interstellar and this is a hill I am willing to die on. Was it the best dialogue? No... but it was 100% needed unless you are familiar with astrophysics.
