- Read at least 10 Books mainly Stoner (which has been on my list for quite some time now), The Westing Game (which I've started already. Thanks to Martin's rec), The Dry and some classics (some essentials you'd recommend for someone who's just got into reading?)
- TVs: Finish Lost, The Bureau and The Americans. (And continue my love for The Office)
- Movies: Watch more regional Indian stuff esp the bengali and South Indian stuff. Watch some movies included in themoviesinner's around the world cinema thread. WATCH HIGH AND LOW ASAP!
Do you guys have any?

Books: Would love to get to at least 40 books next year. If my reading schedule is anything like it's been this past few months, that'll be a breeze. As far as recs go, Drish , you absolutely can't go wrong with Betty Smith's beautiful semi-autobiographical coming of age masterpiece A Tree Grows in Brooklyn if you haven't already read it. Definitely Call Me By Your Name too if you missed it, and Ronan Farrow's Catch and Kill is an excellent account of his work to break the Weinstein story! TV: Watch Atlanta, The Handmaid's Tale, Westworld, This Is Us, Peaky Blinders. Won't have to do as much catchup next year thank god because I did a ton this year, but those shows are still big blindspots. Movies: anything and everything 90s!

All those books you recommended sound great. Esp Catch and Kill. Thank you 😘 I saw the first season of Westworld when it first came out but it's just not for me. Atlanta is very fun, the first season. Need to get to the rest of the seasons. I hate myself for losing touch with some amazing shows that I'd been enjoying like Peaky Blinders, The Americans and Justified. Guess I'll have to rewatch them all at some point.

watch less. read/do more.
specific film stuff: Cassavetes, Ozu, Rohmer, Ray, Hong Sang-soo (I know I've mentioned him before in previous installments), get the last of Claire Denis that I need and can't find, bolster lineups for late 90s-early 00s
tv: The Wire, Curb, Olive Kitteridge
Books: Lolita, A Clockwork Orange, Fight Club, get through this Dune series just to get to God Emperor (I'm imagining this to be kinda like Ep.8 of The Return in page form), other obvious classic that I've deprived myself of

Movies: Dunno if I'll be able to repeat last year's haul of 130 films with the pressure of finals and all, but I'll still keep a long-term goal of 100 films. Also, to watch more foreign and classic cinema of course.
TV: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Twin Peaks, Defending Jacob, Normal People, Euphoria, Scam 1992, etc.
Books: Just read a single damn book. I've completely lost touch with books in between all the movie-watching, peer pressure and video gaming.

Movies: Watch more films directed by women and non-white people. Watch at least ten documentaries by the end of the year.
Books: Read at least twelve books by the end of the year. I still don't know for sure which books I want to read, but I hope to be able to read at least one book by a Brazilian author, one written by a woman, one nonfiction and a comic book, as I have been needing to diversify my readings.

TV: Wanna watch more of Kojak and Homicide Life on the Streets. Loved the very little I've seen of 'em, but these two shows aren't streaming anywhere so I may just have to break the bank for the dvds. Movies: More director streaks (first up for me should be Fritz Lang), and also agree with isabelaolive - more films directed by women (which I've already begun this month... ) Books: I don't think I read any "classics" last year so that. Moby Dick, maybe? Which I haven't read entirely but does have one of my fav ending lines ever.
