Looks like could be hilarious or a complete dumpster fire, but anyway I'll give it a shot.

Looks like could be hilarious or a complete dumpster fire, but anyway I'll give it a shot. For some reason, the Mayor fight clip especially when the guy falls on Ted Danson at the end always makes me laugh. The rest of it is hard to tell out of context. I’m excited about who is in it, but the joke about the website name, the warm hands bit, obnoxious teenage daughter, don’t really pique my interest. I did like the Alf joke even if it was a pretty cliche joke about LA, but I have a soft spot for Alf.

Trailer 2......

I thought the trailers looked kinda lame and some of the humor agrees with that, like the up to the minute references, but there's also enough snuck in that kept me laughing thru the first five eps (on Hulu), especially the perfs. Holly Hunter's hyper-liberal leprechaun is another notch in her comedic belt - she's like a suspicious, scheming ferret around the mayoral offices. Her timing is perfect and she's clearly having fun playing it which is so great to see. She even gets a little musical number and a square-off opposite Andie MacDowell ( @tyler !!) in a hysterical, priceless cameo. Bobby Moynihan ("I said tacos!") is hilarious, and the two actors playing the mayor's strategist and chief of staff seem to be modeled after David and Alexis Rose. The show might run outta gas pretty quickly (to some, they'll feel that way off the bat) but it's close to the tone of other NBC stuff Parks Rec, 30 Rock....and also like a tame Veep. Nowhere on the level of these, at all, but for now it'll do.

I’m hoping it is just taking a little bit to find it’s footing and get into it’s groove. I see the potential but ifs mostly not landing with me so far.

So this show peaked with Andie MacDowell's cameo. At 9 quick episodes it was easy to get thru but too many of the character gags feel foregone and familiar. I will say Holly Hunter is a birdy delight here and we get some of her best scenes in the finale, where she's kicking down doors and scaring everybody lol. "I need you to do two kinds of ups, shut and listen."
Another pretty good line: after being described as "an Olivia at the bowling party" Hunter says "Huh? Is that a Netflix show about sexy teen suicide?"
Idk if it's worth renewing for S2.... I mean I'd watch, for HH, but then again this is her sixth tv perf in a row, and some have yielded yikes work from her (Comey Rule) so maybe go back to a good old fashioned movie?

Cancelled! We knew it was coming. I’m still the only person I know who watches and kept with it. And he/me enjoyed it, especially Holly’s Arpi and Jayden - S2 set up them being more of a dynamic duo going forward. Anyway, as comedically lame as it often was, I also laughed a bunch.
